Midnight at MK

I'm sure most of you realize this, but I just discovered this:

The castle clock chimes at Midnight to commemorate that Cinderella lost her slipper at midnight.

I like Disney details.

Well I'll join you in the crowd of "I did not know that". I have been at MK several times at midnight and I do not think I have ever taken notice before of the castle clock chiming.

I'll have to try to listen at the P&P Party in Feb.!

Thanks for that bit of info. :)

Are you sure? How have I missed this for so many years? I guess I'll ask DW next week after she shadows there.

Shadows there? Oh wait, is she a CM following a manager around to see what their day is like?
Lol, no. She's an area manager, shadowing a duty shift at MK next week. They have to shadow duty shifts in the event they would need to pull one.

Cool - I've never been in the MK at midnight, but the first night of our next trip, it's supposed to stay open until then. I'll definitely have to listen for it.

Now if they *really* wanted to have some special magic for just the few Guests who happen to be in the area at the time, I could picture them having Cinderella running from the Castle as the clock chimes midnight, missing a slipper, running across the Hub and offstage, followed a few moments later by the Prince holding the other slipper running after her... (Sounds like something the CMs might arrange as an off-the-clock stunt.)

Oooo, I like that idea! That would be cool! I'd definitely stay late to see that.
