Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party for Adults?

I am traveling alone, and will be at WDW Oct 10 - 14. Is it worth the extra $$ to go to Mickey's NSSH Party? I love doing the parks on my own, and love Halloween, but unsure if this would be worth the price. I have read on other sites the large crowds no matter what night, and the long lines. I would not be doing any of the character picture ops or candy lines. The Parade looks great as do the fireworks. Advice?

Ive done this party several times solo. At first I enjoyed walking onto most attractions after 10pm. Since its gotten so crowded in the last couple of years this is not an option anymore.
Now I go for the parade, fireworks and general atmosphere. You should try it. I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

Do not waste your time and money. The park is more crowded than it is during the day, it is shoulder to shoulder and no one can move. The lines are horrible, and you will wait at least 6 hours to get on one ride.

Just kidding.

We have been going to MNSSHP for the last 5 years. We always go in the beggining of October and have never had any lines longer that 5 minutes. Would you enjoy it? I have no idea. They have "free" candy (you pay for it buying the ticket), a special parade which is neat, an outstanding special fireworks show, and they do up the haunted mansion, and other things.

P.S. not all the rides are open during the party.

Yes...it is very worth it, if you have the chance go.

I did the Christmas Party on my own a couple years ago, and really enjoyed being able to take my time and do whatever I wanted. I am planning a solo trip next September and will definitely be doing the Halloween party for the first time. I really, really, really want to see that parade. I say go for it.

I personally Love to go to the Halloween party. I went 2 years ago in the beginning of october & didn't have to wait in barley any lines. I had so much fun trick or treating, & I love the Fireworks for this event. I am actually going to tomorrow's party to experience it all over again! :)

Just be prepared to have that song from the Boo To You Parade stuck in your head for months to come afterwards! LOL. It jumps into my head every time someone even mentions MNSSHP! But it was a great parade, lead off by the Headless Horseman on horseback. Very cool. If you're looking to try something different and special at Disney, it's worth a try. I didn't find it horribly crowded in mid-October.

With all the responses and advice from a couple of "expert" friends, I purchased my ticket for 10/11. I am now preparing my costume! So looking forward to the fun!

I really enjoyed the party. We experienced very low crowds and we were able to ride the BTMRR and Splash Mountain repeatedly without having to get off. That alone was worth some of the price of admission. Also, I enjoyed seeing the special fireworks and parade.

I'm not a parade person, but all three times I have been to MNSSHP, I have watched both runs of the parade. I'm not sure whether I'm joking or not when I say this: I would pay for the ticket just to see the parade twice.

I have a question about MNSSHP - it says that the hours are from 7pm-12am. Does that mean that if you don't purchase a ticket to MNSSHP you can't stay in the park past 7pm? If that's not true, can you still see Hallowishes without purchasing a ticket?
