Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party for Adults?

I have a question about MNSSHP - it says that the hours are from 7pm-12am. Does that mean that if you don't purchase a ticket to MNSSHP you can't stay in the park past 7pm? If that's not true, can you still see Hallowishes without purchasing a ticket?

If you don't buy a ticket you can't stay past 7. The Halloween activities don't begin until 8:15 and they make sure regular day guests are gone by then.

It depends on the reason for the party -- if you want to ride every attraction with nothing more than a 5 - 10 minute line, then it is well well well worth the money (except for inexplicably Peter Pans Flight which will STILL have a 45 minute wait each party night). Remember these parties are created for the locals...that means everyone will be standing in line for snacks; standing along Main STreet for parades; sitting around in groups eating snacks and admiring each others costumes...that leaves the attractions pretty much open for everyone else.

Boo to You is Disney's best parade. The fireworks are good. The villian thing is good. There are always a few people in impressive costumes. I took a pic of one couple a few years ago...their costumes were that well done.

Haunted Mansion is the only thing I would make sure to ride. The whole area is kind of cool.

Halloween Horror Nights is better. If you don't have kids along, you should totally check it out!!! With MNSSHP, I could count the fun things on my fingers. HHN, I would need toes and other people's digits, as well. HHN may be my favorite thing in all of Orlando, all year. It's just wildly, wonderfully well done.

I am traveling alone, and will be at WDW Oct 10 - 14. Is it worth the extra $$ to go to Mickey's NSSH Party? I love doing the parks on my own, and love Halloween, but unsure if this would be worth the price. I have read on other sites the large crowds no matter what night, and the long lines. I would not be doing any of the character picture ops or candy lines. The Parade looks great as do the fireworks. Advice?
i would do it because it looks so much fun, and if its anything like the christmas party they have i went to, it will be well worth it. the lines are shortest during parades and as the night goes on. also my friend says wait til later to do the trick or treating

It's just down the street.

I think they call it Halloween Horror Nights.

;)
This.

If it's definitely something you'd like to experience, though, Not So Scary is a good time. The parade is probably the best one they've ever devised, and the fireworks show is good. It's nothing like it used to be. It is stupid crowded now, and extra ticket price doesn't get you nearly the value it used to. It's a one-time event now. See it, say you've done it and call it quits.
