Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party 2017

Just curious, do repeat visitors still fork over money for this? Or is it one of the 'once in a lifetime' things? My husband and I went once back in 2008 and it was an ok experience. Not our favorite night but some cool things. Now that we have two kids, I wouldn't mind taking them when they're older. But seriously, $400 bucks for one night for us? Not only once in a lifetime but we'd have to cut corners else where to justify the cost.
We're going for the first time this year-on Halloween night, to boot-and I'm thinking that this may be a one and done situation, even if we have a good time. We're paying $345 total for three of us, and that is not an extra charge that we want to incur repeatedly on our WDW vacations.

HEA not being on the calendar for the last two weeks of August yet has anything to do with MNSSHP starting then as well.

I was wondering that as well, I'm thinking that the operational calendar doesn't go out that far.

Wasn't planning on another WDW trip until January, but now I'm thinking of tossing in a weekend at the end of September for MNSSHP and Food & Wine. Figure I'll get the most out of my AP while I have it, as I'm likely not renewing it.

It goes beyond that, just dark for about two weeks on HEA. It's been this way for a while now, so I'm assuming it's not a glitch or oversight at this point. They may very well add them later, and I hope they do, but I can't help but think this is related to the changeover from HEA to HalloWishes in some way.

They have dessert parties those evenings. So it's an oversight.

We've discussed it before, and I hope you're right, but I'm not counting on it until I see it on the calendar. I've contacted Disney through the various sources, and all they'll say is to keep checking. I personally called dining and questioned why I could make a dessert party reservation with no fireworks currently scheduled, and they of course had no answer.

So has it been announced by Disney that the Halloween and Christmas versions of Wishes will remain for the parties? I haven't see that anywhere.

The DPB post this week listed both.

Um excuse me but if @marni1971 visited 34534656 times he would be 94615.5 years old**. Worst post ever...

**Data assumes one visit per day and that the @MinnieWaffles' head is totally full of pixie dust and devoid of everything else.

HA HA HA. You are so funny, I bow down to your superior charm and intellect.

The ruling went in favour of the school. No kids to be taken out of term time.

Stupid thing is the original fine that the father was fighting against was only in the region of £60.
 He got a fine for pulling the kid out of school? Wow, I'd be fined all the time then.

Changing the subject slightly, can anyone tell me which quick service restaurants usually operate during the party?

My memory tells me Peco Bills, Cosmic Rays & Caseys all stay open but I wondered if anyone could give me a more definitive answer. Thanks.

Credit to wdwinfo and this is from 2016 but it seems to be pretty accurate. I attended every year from 09-15 and these seemed to be the places I remember being open.0

Yeah. I mostly got nervous because for a minute I wondered if they are also being refurbished at that time, but that would be disastrous for Magic Kingdom. Or me. Or both.
