Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party 2017

Yes, because that's exactly what I said from my long post about that happened to mention the weather. It's rather amazing for a parade float to break down after it rains, and for someone's microphone pack to die. Things like microphones dying in the middle of performances are rather rare but given the fact that the second show was ended abruptly, would have permitted for the battery to maintain more of a charge than what it did. You also had those on twitter saying that "Walt Disney World may need to adjust entertainment hours at #MNSSHP 2nd parade causes severe back up of guest leaving at the end of the night" (https://twitter.com/MickeyXtreme/status/901562483261014016), which I can add into that given the times of the boats and monorails with the event (Which fun fact, on event nights the express monorail closes a half hour after the event ends and a half hour before the resort side ends. Which their transportation can be another issue in itself.) I also had CM friends tell me that it was also horrible last night and that they were shocked. Especially with the meet and greets. But to each their own. It's just amazing to see a nicely put together event last year and this year it being a bit haphazard.
They are somewhat restricted in scheduling when they insist on having parties in August since it's not dark until 8:40 or so. In October, it is dark by 8. Christmas Parties are entirely at night.

Wow, tonight's party seems like a hot mess from what I'm hearing (and this is the first one for the season).
And some character lines had waits over 3 hours from one report. Man oh man is City Hall going to be flooded with complainers tonight!
I don't know who's telling you this, but for the first hour or so the lines were long but manageable. After 8:30 everything eased up. By 10 lines were next to nothing. This was far from a "hot mess". Last year the one I was sold out and they admitted those from a canceled party earlier in the week due to weather, that was a gigantic mess.

Ride lines were basically walk on for everything except 7DMT and PP. Splash (which was open) and BTMRR were ghost towns.

Ugh it's too early for Halloween parties. Why don't they wait until September at least? It's way too hot and 'summer-y' still to be thinking Halloween in the park.
Yes, it cools from a scorching 92-degrees in August to a chilly 91-degrees in September. Refreshing.

It's FL. I went to MNSSHP mid-October last year and it was 88-degrees. In February it was 89-degrees.

From what I keep reading - it sounds like we're best off doing rides 4-8:30-9, then get ready for entertainment (Fireworks, parade), do characters/dance, then end the night with Hocus Pocus. We'll be going next Friday... how were the lines for rides this weekend?

I would love to go to the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party... because tickets are cheaper in late August/September.... but it seems too early to celebrate the Halloween Spirit :hilarious:... however, if I wait until October, ticket prices skyrocket! dang...:hungover:

lol Maybe we shouldn't have told our daughter Moana will be there and just pray it isn't as bad on Friday (both line and weather wise).
