Mickey saying good night

First night we were in MK, as we left, Mickey stood over the entrance saying goodnight to everyone. The second night we were there, he wasn't. So i'm wondering, does this happen often?

Only times he isn't there are if a special event is scheduled or if it's raining.

I thought they were asking about Mickeys goodnight (at the train station), not the Good Night Kiss.

Actually, the Good Night Mickey thing only happens on certain nights. It usually is when the park closes at 8 or 9 pm. So that means that during the summer and busy times, it doesn't happen at all.

It is like a light show done on the castle at night done a few times a night after the park closes and people are filtering out. It is a tear jerker for me.
