Mickey Antenna Topper and Car Washes?

We just put on a mickey antenna topper. (We were kind of waiting for winter to settle down a bit). Can it go through car washes, or do we have to take it off for those and then put it back on?

Definitely take it off before going through a car wash. I've lost more than one by forgetting.

It depends... I have one on my car that is so tightly wedged on I couldn't remove it without cutting it. My second car no longer has the antenna that had one... I don't know whether it broke off because the topper wouldn't come off or if it just broke because it was its time... :lol:

We lost one in the car wash too. If you want to be sure about not losing it definitely take it off.

My husband had his on for about a year--never took it off for the car wash or the WI/MI winters...at least not until one of the ears broke off....

Definately take it off because even if you don't lose it, the heat & chemicals (not to mention if the car wash you use uses brushes) will make the tooper look nasty. Colors will fade and any little decor items like glitter etc. will most definately be washed away.

I've been thru and sometimes they get lost and others they are fine. I always take them off now when going thru a car wash, just in case.

I take my van through a touch free car wash and have never taken my topper off. It's always been fine. It's hard to pull it off though.

I loved the toppers on our last trip, but I didn't get any. I was thinking about buying some, and I just realized that my new car doesn't have an external antenna!!!

I would always take it off going through the car wash. If it's detailed, you could risk having some of it break apart. I don't have an external antenna anymore on my new car. I miss my antenna toppers! I still manage to buy them anyways. LOL

I always take mine off. Mine don't fall off too easily but I have had a couple get damaged and caught up in the machinery.

Yay for more Disney antennae toppers in the world too! I love walking through parking lots and seeing Mickeys everywhere. Always brings a smile to my face. :lol:

I would take it off, just to be safe.

Also, all antenna toppers should be removed and antennas put down if possible when using the parking garage at Bally's Atlantic City. The clearance is... bad. My dad has a Dodge Durango and the ceiling of the garage was so low that the antenna kept hitting the ceiling and that little ball at the end of it came off. I could almost touch the signs hanging from the ceiling and I'm only 4'11", so that's bad. Just a public service announcement.

I NEVER take it off, which is probably why it doesn't look like that anymore . I don't think Mickey appreciates the freezing weather .

I'll be sure to get a whole ton of them this summer!!
