The ride is good enough for me to look past that, but I agree that it would have been even better with a more classic look for the characters.

Based on the POV’s, I have to agree. Even though I’m in no way a fan of the shorts and would‘ve preferred a more classic take on the characters, I’ve got to admit this attraction looks pretty impressive. Just goes to show that some attractions are good enough on their own merits to overshadow negative feelings towards an IP.

Which is what an IP is supposed to do. I guess with today's super headliners Mickey and Rat look more like D's, but I think it sells them short. Time for an F-ticket anyone?

So has anybody visited the Mickey Shorts Theater" where they showed "Vacation Fun"? Because I can't tell if that was Russi Taylor voicing Minnie (since the cartoon doesn't have credits) unless it was recorded by an uncredited voice actor. If it is Russi, then you can tell that was the actual final time she was able to voice Minnie. Because Minnie's voice sounded very off.

To be perfectly honest it looks like someone went on a bad drug trip and thought of this. Not trying to be mean about it. Yes, the technology there is neat and the colors really pop, but my gawd.

We arrived at 7:20am via bus from BLT. In line go MMRR at 7:45. Off the ride at 10:15 and on boarding group 31 for RotR. MMRR was really just wonderfully fun. The park handled opening day perfectly.

I've seen at least 3 Streamers' Vids from the last 24 Hours cut from YT because of MMRR! Hopefully it's NOT TDO stopping the vids and Streamers form posting! That would be pretty LOW of them!!! For some reason FB doesn't have issues with that. FB: Don't you DARE start that now!



As for MMRR: a lot better that I thought! The new Mickey style is growing on me even through I prefer the old look! Does MMRR use the whole GMR building? They're weren't separate preshow rooms in GMR, Correct?? Just 1 big room with a screen and then the loading quene in the next room? My memory on GMR is a little fuzzy!

Yes Disney has a lot of copyright in place for songs in theme parks now. Probably a side effect of music being sold/streamed on licenses platforms like apple music.

Yes two pre-show rooms using up the space that was previously the one large room showing the pre-show at GMR.

It’s a shame to lose the GMR instead of updating it; since MRR is primarily projections, it could’ve been built in any warehouse with a nice façade. It didn’t have to replace the GMR.

But this still looks like a solid addition to the park! The sets and projections are better integrated here than in Rat.

I might feel this way if they updated GMR but the GMR we lost I am fine with. I am of the younger crowd though so some of the movies in the ride didn't do it for me like they may others.

But that’s just it. GMR covered many different types of movies to appeal to a broad range of people. GMR wasn’t just about one single movie. Not everyone likes horror or sci-fi, but cover them all and you’ve got something that appeals to everyone. Maybe I’m just getting old.

It looks like it was a pretty good day at DHS despite being pretty high on the crowd calendar. I still maintain the park needs at least one more major attraction from a capacity standpoint but this helped absorb crowds today.

I love it based on the video. Using tech that exists already, but this is a very unique attraction different than anything Ive seen before. I absolutely love it and this a perfect anchor attraction that was needed at HS. The park has way better flow now. Loving, loving, loving it. As anything else I get that people are going to prefer legacy attractions. Not me. Imo this attraction was long in the tooth, boring, too long, and always a walk on in recent years.

As good as it is in the video, it should be a better on ride experience. Can't wait. HS finally has a strong lineup of rides. Could use 1 or 2 more but this park is onto something special!

I agree great movie ride so badly needed to be updated. The GMR that closed was really outdated.
