YES, WE CAN!
YES, WE CAN!
If you tell me to turn down the bumpy road you don’t get to be absolved of blame because I’m driving and hit a pothole, and there’s nothing inconsistent with saying I, and not you, get credit for a smooth ride when I avoid potholes. Iger was in the top job for a decade and a half. He set the direction.I mean, it's SUPER convenient to blame everything on Iger, but it strikes me as lazy and overly-simple. When Iger left, Disney's leadership structure for the parks looked like this:
Walt Disney Parks and Resorts
But somehow Iger is directly responsible for everything you hate about the parks? He's ultimately responsible for the entire company, but I'm pretty sure he didn't even know about parking fees! And now that he's becoming aware of how some things have affected public sentiment, customer satisfaction, and investor confidence, he's paying attention to some of them (and some are changing).

Mikey and Minnie's Runaway Railway in Toontown is a big addition to the park. But it also represents the new direction for Disney animation (an Iger initiative) and a respect for its history (something Iger at least pretends). If you want to blame Iger for everything bad, at least be consistent and give him credit for anything good.
Yeah that seems so odd! I’m shocked there isnt an opening day pin available for purchase! How do you not open your gift shop with the ride? Seems like money lost.
Am I Iger in this analogy? If you tell me to turn down the bumpy road you don’t get to be absolved of blame because I’m driving and hit a pothole, and there’s nothing inconsistent with saying I, and not you, get credit for a smooth ride when I avoid potholes. Um, what?We now just pay a guy who created a computer program to get VQs, we get group 1 on everything for a quarter the price of an ILL.
A friend of a friend created a computer program for getting Virtual queues, it‘s faster than humans are so we pay him $5 each and he gets us group 1 every time.Um, what?
Can I be his friend? (as I google similar hacks)A friend of a friend created a computer program for getting Virtual queues, it‘s faster than humans are so we pay him $5 each and he gets us group 1 every time.
2+ hours since they opened the gates and still some individual lightning lanes available for today (they are now for a return time at 5:45pm).
Just shows that a massive percent of capacity is put away for ILL, not for virtual queue.
Friends with benefits. Can I be his friend? (as I google similar hacks)
We had a similar experience back then. Even though we went to the parks (on our once/year family trip) assuming we wouldn't likely get to ride Rise, the whole situation set us up for an emotional roller coaster anyway. Human nature, I guess. It just left a bad taste in our mouths. It was a "magical" experience. :/Rise was just as bad, thousands of people standing on Main Street staring at their phones waiting for the one to two seconds of availability, followed by thousands of cheers and thousands of tears. I actually prefer a self regulating line, you may end up waiting for a couple hours but at least thousands of peoples days aren’t “ruined” before they even reach the castle.
We now just pay a guy who created a computer program to get VQs, we get group 1 on everything for a quarter the price of an ILL. Probably not what Disney envisioned when they created the system but when you make something this uncertain people will find loopholes.
WDI failed to open the Cosmic Rewind gift shop along with when the ride opened lastHow do you not open your gift shop with the ride? Seems like money lost.
It opened that day, just later in the day. Presumably due to demand/space needs. The same merch was being sold @ CreationsWDI failed to open the Cosmic Rewind gift shop along with when the ride opened last
May....so there's precedence sadly lol
Jon Storbeck (listed here as VP Disneyland) has been the GM of Knott’s Berry Farm since 2016…I mean, it's SUPER convenient to blame everything on Iger, but it strikes me as lazy and overly-simple. When Iger left, Disney's leadership structure for the parks looked like this:
