But somehow Iger is directly responsible for everything you hate about the parks? He's ultimately responsible for the entire company, but I'm pretty sure he didn't even know about parking fees! And now that he's becoming aware of how some things have affected public sentiment, customer satisfaction, and investor confidence, he's paying attention to some of them (and some are changing).

Mikey and Minnie's Runaway Railway in Toontown is a big addition to the park. But it also represents the new direction for Disney animation (an Iger initiative) and a respect for its history (something Iger at least pretends). If you want to blame Iger for everything bad, at least be consistent and give him credit for anything good.

If you tell me to turn down the bumpy road you don’t get to be absolved of blame because I’m driving and hit a pothole, and there’s nothing inconsistent with saying I, and not you, get credit for a smooth ride when I avoid potholes. Iger was in the top job for a decade and a half. He set the direction.

We had a similar experience back then. Even though we went to the parks (on our once/year family trip) assuming we wouldn't likely get to ride Rise, the whole situation set us up for an emotional roller coaster anyway. Human nature, I guess. It just left a bad taste in our mouths. It was a "magical" experience. :/

I’d cynically resign myself to paying the $20 but I hear the LL queue skips some of the good stuff. Guess I’ll be battling the app at 7am with all the other losers.

So, the ending picnic scene in Runaway Railway is mirrored here. Mickey and Minnie are on the right. They use the same animation from DS and goofy looks and waves to the left when he says hi to them.

Per Thrill Data looks like they stopped at BG 135 @7pm. Probably to give time to clear for Fireworks. I had a friend get BG 195 got the message at 7pm unable to accommodate.
