Virtual queue was gone within 1 second.

I don't remember Rise going that fast opening day. It was at least available for a few seconds.

They must have most spots allocated for lighting lane.

Pure greed.

Rise was just as bad, thousands of people standing on Main Street staring at their phones waiting for the one to two seconds of availability, followed by thousands of cheers and thousands of tears. I actually prefer a self regulating line, you may end up waiting for a couple hours but at least thousands of peoples days aren’t “ruined” before they even reach the castle.

We now just pay a guy who created a computer program to get VQs, we get group 1 on everything for a quarter the price of an ILL. Probably not what Disney envisioned when they created the system but when you make something this uncertain people will find loopholes.

Edit: Sold out as of 11:53am, with some spotty availability here and there as slots are freed up by people exiting the checkout flow.

Can't believe that anyone thinks that any of this bullcrap is going to stop under Iger.

It's very clear that Chapek was Iger fall guy for all the terrible moves he put in motion before he left.
Stop under Iger? Lol these people need to know everything we are dealing with started with Iger. Adding back parking at WDW when bookings are down doesn't mean he's an unsung hero.

Fastpass+, Lightning Lanes, Genie, Virtual Queues, Reservations were all approved by Iger. He's probably still trying to recoup the one billion dollars spent on MyMagic+ 10 years ago.

I mean, it's SUPER convenient to blame everything on Iger, but it strikes me as lazy and overly-simple. When Iger left, Disney's leadership structure for the parks looked like this:

But somehow Iger is directly responsible for everything you hate about the parks? He's ultimately responsible for the entire company, but I'm pretty sure he didn't even know about parking fees! And now that he's becoming aware of how some things have affected public sentiment, customer satisfaction, and investor confidence, he's paying attention to some of them (and some are changing).

Mikey and Minnie's Runaway Railway in Toontown is a big addition to the park. But it also represents the new direction for Disney animation (an Iger initiative) and a respect for its history (something Iger at least pretends). If you want to blame Iger for everything bad, at least be consistent and give him credit for anything good.
