Agreed. Best Castle show they’ve done. It’s the only one I always see.

That trash at MVMCP needs to go!

100% agree on the MVMCP stage show.

Some will disagree but imo they ruined OUACT with the updated music. I would have rather them changed it to something completely different than what they did. New seasonal parade floats are needed and way over due.

You can be negative Nancy all you want, I’m excited! 🤣🤣
It's the same tired and stale product, basically unchanged (except for the price), for more than a decade and half. But hey maybe there's a new popcorn bucket to get excited about after spending between $129 and $199 per person plus tax just for the privilege of being able to buy it.

I have clients that have never been that are super excited to go. So it’s all new to them. Just because you’ve been 100 times doesn’t mean everyone else has. I went last year in 2024 and prior to that, the last time I went to a Halloween party was 2009. I was so excited to finally be able to go again!

It may be tired but it’s the best entertainment package MK puts on and you don’t get any of it without a ticket.

Not sure why anyone would pay $199 for the final MVMCP of the year on the other hand. Weaker (IMHO) entertainment that’s included with park admission the very next day. $200 for pre-packaged cookies, I guess?

And in the process did you notice the decline in value because of the increase in crowds and price?

The price keeps going up but the offerings don't change. I agree with you and that MNSSHP offers the best entertainment that you have to pay an up-charge for to experience, but the least they could do is offer something new every half decade or so, and not just throw some bizarre food offerings that are geared to get attention from influencers or Disney Adults.

As a business, why would they do that if they keep selling out? To appease the folks that go every year and get bored? As long as the demand is there and they keep selling out dates relatively far in advance, there's no reason to change 1 thing about MNSSHP or MVMCP. What they are doing is obviously working and they wouldn't risk 'changing' something that could impact demand sooner than anticipated.

But yes, for folks that go every year, you will probably be bored and not go.

It seems a new dance party and food each year is enough for these folks.

What lessons do you think the company learned from Enchantment and Harmodious?

Don't forget popcorn buckets. And "special" merchandise. And... You've obviously forgotten about the most important addition to the Halloween and Christmas parties of the last half-decade - Dessert and dinner parties!!! Think of all the value there - Guests paying $150+ to get in, then spending money on "event-only" food, plus then spending even more to get a few dollars worth of desserts, or even a meal at a higher price, so they aren't taking up space on rides. It's genius, not to mention highly profitable!!!

Oh wait. That's what management believes is important. My bad.

I haven't been to a Halloween party in I don't know how long. And the offerings are still mostly the same, particularly since I have less than zero interest in "the Sanderson sisters" nonsense. "Disney Adult" tripe that is being squeezed for every penny.

Wife and I enjoyed Harmonious 🤷

But WDW doesn't have an attendance problem at their events - there is enough people who either:

1. Have not gone before and now going.
2. Have not gone in some time and want to go.
3. Go every year regardless because they are hardcore fanboys.
4. Go every other year as part of their 'routine' WDW trips (thinking DVC folks mainly).

Like for me, I am going in December and will be going to my third MVMCP event (2022, 2024). Do I wish the stage show would change? Yeah. Do I wish the fireworks show would be different? Yeah. Do I wish they would sell less tickets so I dont wait 30 minutes in line for a free cookie? Yeah. But it's still an incredibly enjoyable experience that we will enjoy with other family that is going too.

I’ve enjoyed Hocus Pocus since I was a kid and am now in the “I book the family vacation” age group. It’s not nonsense so much as giving your spenders what they are asking for. Same reason for leaning into A Goofy Movie.
