Was at the park today, and noticed that the New York street section facade rehab that someone was talking about. Unfortunately, this isn't the project that I was talking about.

Also noticed while on the Backlot Tour, that there were some surveying markers along the residential street area, and that some crews were working on/around/near/in the old Hunchback Theater. Couldn't see what was going on inside due to construction walls, but did hear some work being done. More later as it develops.

Oh yeah, If this post offends anyone, or anyone would like to consider this SPAM, or annoying, or childish, or anything else besides a post related to the topic at hand, please, close your eyes, and repeat after me..."It's only a post, It's only a post, It's only a post, It's only a post...." Have a Disney Day...

And Christina, I hope I do run into you at the parks on your visit. I would love to make your stay more Magical. Because at Walt Disney World, it's Where Magic Lives. I cherish our guests, but I also know how to seperate work, play, and discussion boards.

It's pronounced "hey-zues". I was trying to give you a clue.

Samuel L. Jackson's character in "Die Hard with a Vengence" was named Jesus (hey-zeus).

"Die Hard with a Vengence" was set in New York.

The constuction is taking place in the NY section of the park.

What does this mean?

We'll soon be able to take pictures with cardboard cutouts of Bruce Willis in the new Die Hard section of MGM Studios.

where are the chutes? what are ladders w/o the chutes? lol

coasterbp---i appreciate the info....i am not offended.....and i like to hear that SOMETHING may be coming into MGM.....that is such a great park but it has "holes' to fill......like why isnt it a working studio?? how exciting would that be, to see stars mingling with us regular folk??? great possibilities! come on Disney! We are ready for a new golden age after the tarnishing done by Paul Pressler......hopefully Jay Rasullo will step in and do a Herculean effort to usher in a new era of Disney magic........

Interesting that you should mention a "Herculean" effort. Could Coasterbp's "hey-zues" "clue" be "Hey Zeus"? As in a Hercules attraction? Or am I just trying too hard to make sense of it?

Did I read correctly ?
You said they are doing some work on the backlot tour.

you all have the ladder thing wrong

it is going to be a disney guest transport system modeled after the upcoming movie, "Laddergate" ---- (very similar to the movie "Stargate")

You walk under the ladder in MGM and are teleported to Epcot out of the ladder in the M:S gift shop and vice versa

oops...I said too much

Sorry. The Hey-Zeus thingy was a joke, not a clue, sorry.

As for the markers, I was on the Backlot Tour, and noticed about 4-5 of them along the sidewalks. They had something written on them, but could make it out as it was small writing and we were moving somewhat quickly. Noticed some construction type vehicles parked along the street too.

About the construction walls......

Disney decided to follow up the smash success of the pin trading pony at Animal Kingdom with another unique pin trading experience, this time at Disney-MGM Studios. Opening in spring 2003 (give or take a few months) is "Bob, the Pin Trading Ladder"! That's right, kids. Trade pins and have your picture taken with everybody's favorite Disney ladder!

[/endsarcasm]

1. Has anyone written a haiku about the new coaster yet?
2. In Spanish the "j" is pronounced as "h", hence the hay-zeus confusion (or not, I couldn't tell if it was all tongue-in-cheek or not)
3. Is there a faq on all these in-jokes for newbies, especially this ladder laff-a-thon?
4. Remember back in the day when "faq" didn't mean "frequently asked questions"?

Well then it must be made up lies. It's just one of those "almost swearing" kid innovations, like someone saying "it" after someone else shushes.
