Word is that Ariel's Grotto is going down to make room for The Little Mermaid attraction. But we are not apparently receiving an omnimover like California. Subs might be making a return to the old 20k area. Crazy stuff.

The friends of Ariel who mostly work at the Grotto are being relocated.

Oh and the What Will You Celebrate street party/parade will feature a Mary Poppins float.

Insert your own salt joke. Thanks!

Thanks for the update. Subs sounds a stretch, but who knows. The omnimover sounds much more likely. At the moment, fingers crossed for anything I'd say! :)

I hardly believe they would construct a new sub lagoon after spending so much time and money to tear the old one down. Besides, almost all the subs are gone, and the ADA grandfathering would be gone.

But Disney will be dead in a year!

I love this thread. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR POSTING THIS.:D:sohappy::lol: It's very refreshing to actually read a rumor.

I agree, it seems very unlikely.

Plus I think its a terrible idea. The subs looked out of place in Fantaseyland back in the day, and they'll still look out of place now.

I'm looking foward to reading yuor comments two years from now when nothing new of any substance has been added and quality has yet again gone down. Will you still roll your eyes at everyone who says anything against the "Can do no wrong" corporation? Will you finally agree? Or will you still jump up and down and get excited over vapors and rumors.

Isn't it this the kind of outwardly pushy post that got you banned last time... Or the time before that? I always wondered why you shared such a close posting style to that of the former banned member Lewis Carroll...

Hey Phil! While I don't specifically see them building an entire lagoon for the Little Mermaid attraction we'll be getting eventually, I can see them using a similar system to that found in Tokyo DisneySea's 20,000 Leagues attraction (a la Peter Pan--overhead ride track and suspended vehicles). Then again, I've not heard anything to make me think that our version will be any different (in any way significant) than that of the future DCA attraction...

On top of that, the overhead track and subs combo is set for a different attraction at a different park, if it gets the green light... :animwink:

I'm looking forward to understanding your posts...and some optimism.:wave:

So if your so sure WDW is going to continually be deteriorating, why are you still posting on a fan forum? Either come back when you believe the product has reached your level of expectations or just abandon it all together. Then again, it seems your not mature enough to make a decision like that.

Ooo... What about an omnimover where our ride vehicles are in the shape of a sub? We've got clammobiles, so why not submarines? :D
