wasnt it said that the new rooms will have Plasma screens........ or was that just in the DVC on the wing?objr said:Great point!
The look is great...I mean...this should have been done a long time ago....but hey its Disney....if it ain't broke, don't fix it (and hey maybe they're right)...and as long as people keep coming and spending...why fix it? There is one main thing Disney offers that other hotels can't....close proximity. So I think Disney rooms will always be standard...no matter how much you pay to stay....you pay for proximity and for the resort. Not the room. Kinda strange...but hey....I'd prefer the Grand Floridian over the World Center Marriott (I think thats what its called...of course it has many nicknames :lookaroun ) anyday, just to hear the howling from the mansion and the train go shoo-shoo :lookaroun....having money would help of course....*goes out to look for money*
*shrugs*
My guess is...that with these changes will come a change in price....They're probably looking into raising room rates and cashing in on the new look...right?
I agree with you to a point. While the rooms at the Contemporary look great... to me, the main feature for it has always been the proximity to the MK and the monorail. However, other Disney resorts seem to fair much better in the theming... AKL, GF, Poly, PO, etc. Even the value resorts with their icons have a feel / theme that you just can't get outside Disney.objr said:There is one main thing Disney offers that other hotels can't....close proximity. The nicest hotels/rooms I've been in are in Walt Disney World Resort Hotels.objr said:There is one main thing Disney offers that other hotels can't....close proximity.
