I was just wondering if anyone has any memories of unforgettable personalities of cast members in the parks. My favorite cast member is James, who works at the Hall of Presidents at the Magic Kingdom. He is full of Presidental knowledge which is really cool. "Please help us maintain the dignity of our hall."-James

Mine is some guy that works at the haunted mansion...the first thing he said when he opened the door is "Alright, let's get this ovewr with." and then when the panel opened in the gallery he simply said "Alright, get out!" It was so funny yet so appropriate!

PS love the Username. "Cause we're the GRISWOLD'S!"

James is a first class cm. Three years ago my then 15 year old grandson (also James/Jimmy) was really into American History. The two James' had a ball exchanging facts and Q&As. They had a lot of folks standing around enjoying the conversation. James (the cm) really had fun and told Jimmy he could stand in for him any time he wanted. What fun that was!!

At Epcot a few weekends ago, our narrator for Living with the Land was named Joseph. During the ride through the greenhouses, there were these HUGE fruits about twice the size of a normal head, just barely hanging on to the trees they were connected to. At a pause in the speech, I asked him what they tasted like. He continued with the speech, and i thought he didn't hear me. At the next pause (a very short one), he quickly said "They taste like slimy mangoes." He continued with his speech, while my friend and I laughed about what he just said. Then, at the next pause, he said, "They keep feeding them to us!" referring to the fruits.

It was really funny. We still joke about it.

I know who you're talking about. He's really funny. He gave me jell-o when I went for my birthday.

I fell in love with a couple of cm's during my many visits to WDW. The first was "Tall Paul", a guide on the Keys to the Kingdom tour. He knew so much about the park and let his personality shine through during the day. Such a delight to spend the morning with him. At the end of the tour the guides are suppose to share something personal with the group. He told us about a child who he connected with through the Make a Wish Foundation and how spending a day with this child changed his life. He teared up as he told the story as did most of us in the group. "Tall Paul" is an amazing person!! :)

The second person I fell in love with was Nicholas from Port Orleans French Quarter. He's a cutie plus, now I know his favorite flavor of icecream!!

:D In 1999, our family met a lovely young woman, Stephanine Roberts, on the way down on the airplane, after we told her that we were on vacation she had told us that she was in the FLK, well we found out she played KABIBI, one of the main singers, afterwards we were treated to a visit by Stephanine and the rest of the cast of the show in costume, plus Timone, and once I figure out how to scan a picture I'll get it on here. Afterwards we were escorted by another cast member to have our picture taken with Mickey and Minnie, by the way it's the only place to have that done in WDW, Stephanine where ever you are, we will never forget what you gave us.:sohappy:

My most memorable would have to be Snow White (who I have an incredible crush on BTW). Several years ago, as I was attempting to take a picture of her and my wife, I must have been frowning. Ms. White informed my wife, that I looked a lot like "Grumpy". When I discovered that the problem was I hadn't removed the lens cap, she said, "No I'm wrong, he's Dopey".
And to think I sill like her after all that.

My favorite cast member is Debie. We first met "Aunt" Debie at the Prime Time Cafe and she was great. We would always eat at the Prime Time. When she moved to Mama Melrose we followed her there. We love Aunt Debie. We have been going to see her for 5 or 6 years. And we still call her Aunt Debie.

I'm sure he doesn't work there anymore, but in 1996 I had a skipper on the WDW Jungle Cruise named Cleeve. I doubt that was his real name, but it was on his name tag. I had been on the Jungle Cruise at Disneyland tons of times, but never was the spiel so well done, and so funny. He threw in some of the usual groaners, but he was constantly changing it up with his own stuff (or at least stuff that sounded like he might have made it up). My favorite, though I didn't agree with it at the time, was, "If you thought this was bad, then you should check out the Tiki Bird Show across the way. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll kiss twenty minutes goodbye." Now, with Under New Management, Cleeve couldn't be more right.

One of my favourite CMs - Fernando over at Cinderella's Royal Table. DH and I had him as our server in February, and he was great then, but when we went back a few weeks ago, not only did he remember us, but he remembered bits of our conversation! Even though he is crazy busy at all times, he would always sit and chat with us, and would always make sure our glasses (and bread basket :slurp: ) were full!

But the thing that really impressed us was the way he did our bills up at the end of the night. My parents were on the Dining Plan and DH and I were not (we have APs, so we used our DDE cards). When we got our bills at the end of the night, he had put the more expensive entrées and appetizers on my parents' bill and left us to pay for the cheaper ones. It was just such a nice touch, and he was genuinely embarassed when we told him that we had seen what he had done for us.

Bottom line: While Cindy's can be hit and miss, Fernando will keep us coming back for more!

(It's a TERRIBLE picture of all of us, but at least you guys can see who I'm talking about!!)

Bill the security guard. He gave me a ticket for being Grumpy. It was our last day there and i was sad. He then escorted us to the head of the line on our favorite RIde. Pan.

Thanks Bill.
