Meeting Famous People

I don't get to see people like that but my son does. He works security at the SuperDome, and Smoothie King arena and the Square (for outdoor concerts). He works backstage, holds a commission, and carries a gun, not one of those guys who line the front of the stage. While he isn't allowed to 'fan out', he does see and sometimes escorts a lot of performers and actually had to carry one to the tour bus because she was so intoxicated; she couldn't walk. I was so shocked because I always imagined she was one of those health nuts! There are some who really disappointed me i.e.---security isn't allowed in their dressing/prep area because they bring their own security which usually, but not always, means they want to get high before and after the show-----I'm not cool with drug use. And one time he texted me teasingly saying "MOM, Adam Levine is soooo sexy" knowing Mom was missing the Maroon 5 concert :) One nice thing is that if there is a concert I go to-----Mom gets to be on the side of the stage!

About 10 years ago we were at a Mickey's Merry Christmas party. My nephew and I headed over to Casey's for a late night hot dog and we noticed alot of big guys standing around with their arms folded not looking very friendly. As we walked to the rear of the store we noticed Ludacris was sitting there with his kids. My nephew was star struck ! Ludacris noticed him and motioned for him to come over. He signed a napkin for him.

Back when my kids were little, my son and I were at the show at Mickey's Birthday Land or whatever it was called then while my husband took our daughter on some of the bigger rides. I was sitting over on the side in case we had to make a hasty exit (he was a bit of a crank at times) when I noticed that there seemed to be a lot of men in suits circulating through the theater. It was then that I realized that Steven Speilberg and his family were sitting about 20 feet away.
