Me too. And I'm not one who usually looks around on rides trying to find stuff. It doesn't really bother me but I do notice it.

I will say though that the moment I do see the lights up there on the ceiling, i think " oh ya I'm in a show building" for about 5 seconds.

On a completely unrelated note, something about the Cars show building reminds me of the old E.T. Show building at USH.

Makes sense since that older Sheraton at Universal City is really the only hotel in that area, so there's likely an untapped market for the increasingly popular theme park.

Yep! It's supposed to be going where the abandoned Chinese restaurant used to sit (can't think of the name).

Hopefully they are planning to pull it out of the loud, obnoxious 90s somehow.

Isn't that place awful? It was really cool when it first opened, but the last time I was there a few years ago it was exactly how you described it - loud (literally and figuratively) and obnoxious.
