Meal Plan Extension

I am hoping that someone may know this, and I hope that Pam is reading this. Has anyone heard if the free meal plan is going to be extended from December into the first of the year? We are going end of January-first of February, and I am trying to figure out how to book the reservation. We are going on the meal plan regardless, but if the offer is posted within 45 days of our trip, then I am not sure that we can cancel and rebook without penalty. Can anyone provide information and guidance?

Me and the family were just down there this past August, with the free Disney Dining Plan. If you have any specific questions about the meal plan, I'd be happy to oblige. :wave:

As of right now there has been no extension of the Free Dining plan. As this package expired a while ago and a different discount package was offered in between, I doubt the Free Dining will be back in time for your trip. Pam or I (I am working with Pam at Kingdom Konsultants now!!) can add the Dining plan onto your trip as you get a little closer to the actual departure date of your trip so you may have a little bit of time to decide if you want the Dining package ( for free or otherwise). Hi Tink, The chances of the free dining plan being reinstated for a December trip at this point is really almost none. As I said there was a discounted room + tickets offer that was good for the December time frame. I have NEVER seen Disney put out two types of packages for the same type of group for the same time period ever. There may have been different group discounts for the same time but never for different ones. For example Disney put out a Annual Passholder Best Rate for a room only reservation and a General public discount for room and tickets for the same time frame. The discount applied to different groups of people and couldnt be combined. I would tell you that even at $35.00 a night per person, the Dining plan is a great deal!!!! As far as helping you to switch over, as no one at Kingdom Konsultants made the reservation we cannot affect any changes to it. That is for your protection. Did you book a Magic Your Way Package including a Disney resort hotel room and tickets? If so contact Disney and ask them to add on the Dining plan and they will do that. Belle
