I recently broke down what we know about the upcoming slate in the Loki thread: https://forums.wdwmagic.com/threads...-marvel-mcu-series.971214/page-3#post-9822010

Today Disney announced some changes: https://comicbook.com/movies/news/disney-reshuffles-future-movie-release-schedule/

A press release from Walt Disney Studios confirmed that an Untitled Marvel Movie set for October 7, 2022 has been delayed until October 6, 2023 and that an Untitled Marvel Movie set for November 3, 2023 has been delayed until November 10, 2023. The Untitled Disney Live-Action movie was scheduled to be released on October 6, 2023, the new home of a Marvel movie assumed to be Blade, has been "removed from schedule."

The report of an Okoye series could mean a separate series for her, but, I believe that her series is the Wakanda series with Okoye being one of the main protagonists of the show. It is unlikely that two Wakanda series will come out two years from now. The site that leaked that info said as much that it could be just confirming her role in the Wakanda series.

I initially assumed the same thing, but Deadline says it’s separate: https://deadline.com/2021/05/danai-...ever-disney-origin-spinoff-series-1234765921/

We hear from sources that Danai Gurira will be returning as Okoye, general of the Dora Milaje, in Ryan Coogler’s upcoming Black Panther: Wakanda Forever as well as reprising the character in an origin spinoff series for Disney+.

Disney didn’t have any comment about today’s report.

It would not come as a shock if Gurira also stars in the Wakanda series which Coogler is developing for Disney+. We first told you about the new show when the filmmaker and his Proximity Media signed a five-year overall exclusive TV deal with the studio.

Deadline says "according to our sources" without saying what they are, or referencing what is the probable original leak described here:

That leak makes it sound like it can go either way.

Unless Deadline says that their sources specifically rules out that leak referring to the Wakanda series, I'm on the fence about it.

The Coogler Disney+ stuff was an actual announcement with quotes from Coogler and Iger: https://deadline.com/2021/02/black-...y-television-deal-proximity-media-1234684707/

Of the major trades Hollywood Reporter made the first announcement on Okoye in a piece profiling attorneys: https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/lists/hollywood-most-powerful-lawyers-2021/jamie-mandelbaum-2

Tim Minear and The Handmaid’s Tale’s Bruce Miller — brokered a deal for actress Danai Gurira to not only reprise her role as Okoye in the upcoming Black Panther sequel but also in an origin spinoff series for Disney+.

Deadline is the only trade I’ve seen claiming this isn’t the same thing. But they also had the original Coogler story. In general it’s all kind of weird because to this point the shows have linked up to movies. This/these show(s) will seemingly come out well after Wakanda Forever.

or wanda needs her help against a baddy and comes back for her help which either she has seen the light or stabs wanda in the back

One interesting note from the press release, as shared here by Erik Davis of Fandango:

The original Untitled Marvel film scheduled for 7/28/23 was removed from the schedule. So was the Untitled film scheduled for 10/06/23. They could have easily just delayed said films to other spots. The 10/06/23 film was going to be Blade. I'm curious what's going on with it, because it was suppose to come out 10/7/22 and was then delayed a full year. Now it's off the schedule completely.

Besides Blade, other MCU movies (that we know about) waiting for a release date: Deadpool 3; Fantastic Four; Captain America 4; and any X-Men movie.

Between Eternals and Strange, we have to tide us over, the D+ series: Hawkeye & Ms. Marvel (and maybe She-Hulk). Also the Sony/Marvel-verse movies of Spider-Man and Morbius.

I saw this pointed out elsewhere. It originally seemed like F4 was eyeing that July 2023 date, but Watts is now doing this first:

And today a writer from GeeksWorldWide (they've hit on some things before) shared this rumor:

So Marvel just taking F4 off the schedule completely until they can adjust the timeline makes sense. She-Hulk was originally going to be the first show of 2022, but who knows with all these delays. Ms. Marvel going from 2021 to 2022 makes a lot more sense now that we know The Marvels got pushed back. She-Hulk wrapped months before Moon Knight, but also will probably involve a ton more work in post. Either way like you said we've got plenty of thing still coming.

I don't track the Sony stuff, but outside of Spider-Woman (rumored to be an MCU film) is there anything scheduled besides Morbius? I'm sure they have a "UNTITLED SONY MARVEL" on their schedule, but unless people tweet out the press releases I have no idea where it's saved.

Sony's Kraven The Hunter, starring Aaron Taylor Johnson, comes out January 2023.

So the full schedule:

1/28/22 - Morbius
1/23/23 - Kraven
7/23/23 - Untitled
10/6/23 - Untitled

We know a Venom 3 and a Spider-Man 4 are both happening. We also know Olivia Wilde is making Spider-Woman and has referenced Feige’s involvement (hence why it might be MCU).

I’m guessing the 10/6 date may be in the MCU because Disney vacated that date completely.

Its still unclear at this point if the greater Sony's Spider-Man Universe (SSU, god what a name) will really be connected to the MCU or not.

Feige's involvement doesn't mean they're automatically in the MCU. The recent deal struck between Sony/Disney to keep Tom Holland's Spider-Man in the MCU had Sony wanting Feige more involved in their universe's productions, but not directly tying the films back to the MCU.

So again as with all rumors time will tell....
