Maybe I'm getting old...some rides too loud?

I like loud music, I like to watch movies with lots of volume (especially action scenes), but I found myself commenting to my wife that some of the rides were just too friggin loud during this last WDW trip. The most notable that I can remember were Dinosaur and Mission Space (Green). I don't remember noticing this on previous trips.

Anyone else notice this?

The only ride I've ever noticed it on is Dinosaur. It has been LOUD like that every time we have ridden it over the last 4 years. In fact, my kids HATE it for this reason but we still make them go on it because we think it's fun! :D

I don't like rides that are too loud, but I have to admit that the loudness on Dinosaur makes the experience a lot more exciting.

I have always heard ..... if it's to loud, you're to old!:ROFLOL: Just kidding. :D

But seriously, I have not really noticed them being to loud.

Dinosaur is very loud, but I guess that's part of the excitement. I would prefer that they keep the sound effects and dinos as loud as they currently are but just turn Dr. Seeker down...he's a bit ear-piercing at times. But, maybe if he's not that loud you can't hear him over the sound effects?

The loudness of the dinosaurs (mixed with the ride car throwing your body back and forth) is how they get the adults to be as scared as the children they dragged on the ride with them.

I agree that Dinosaur is extremely loud. And the part in Test Track when the truck is coming right at you - I actually cover my ears for that.

I'm right there with you on this, and this is coming from somebody who sees his fair share of rock concerts in any given year (just saw Motorhead & Megadeth last week and going to Van Halen next week, so yeah, LOUDNESS - I am used to) and listens to music for between 3-6 hours a night at work with the ear buds in!!!! :ROFLOL:

I found Dinosaur to be EXTREMELY loud last year when we were down there and it has become one of my least favourite attractions because of this. It actually gave me a splitting headache by the time we got off of it. I can't see myself riding it in the future from now on because of this. And as weird as this sounds, I find Aerosmith RnRC to be quite loud. Have seen them up close in concert a couple of times and LOVE them and all, just find the ride can be loud sometimes, depending on my mood that day I guess.

So this 41 year old rocker dude is hoping it is not the, "If it's too loud - you're too old" adage setting in, but rather just the rides themselves. :lookaroun

Haven't had any issues with loudness except on Dinosaur. My daughter has sensitive hearing (covers her ears during fireworks, etc.) and she hates it because of that. But even my wife and I both think its too loud (although its a great ride otherwise!)

Well my first thought was the noise of the lifts on BTM...my favorite ride of all and I do sometimes plug my ears with fingers....THAT is the loudest thing imo. Dinosaur hasn't bothered me thus far....:animwink:. Have not been on Rockin'RC at DHS but have heard that is extremely loud....:lookaroun

My son went on it when he was 5. He was a bit scared, so my wife and I put him between us and we held onto him. The ride does jerk you around a bit, but nothing too terrible. It is loud, and I can appreciate that dinosaurs were likely loud too, but I would say to take him on it. My son loved it, and only complained this last time that it was too loud.
