Hi there, I haven't visited this site in awhile and am planning a possible (most likely) trip to WDW during these times, May 27th - 31st. I looked over the site, which has changed since I last visited and did see the section on refurbishment on the message board but did I miss something? Is there an area giving exact rides down during any given time? Or anyone know which attractions are down during these dates coming up in 2 weeks for all 4 main parks? Thanks!

I am making this last minute trip for my 4 & half year old daughter. She was 42 inches a few months ago, am hoping is 44 so can go on most of the rides!! Any tips, suggestions, comments, all appreciated! Thanks much and have a Disney of a day!

Take care,
Me!

Good to know! I assume the crowds will be at a peak? Anytime I have been to WDW they always have been, and hasn't matter at the time of the year for me anyways when I went. So I am hoping it won't be any worse then it has been. All I hope is my daughter is 44 inches by the time we get there!!

Take care

Well, I just measured my daughter and it appears she is still only 42 inches tall. So I am 2 inches short of letting her go on Mission Space and Space Mountain :( She is going to be bummed I think when she sees the rides and wont be able to go I think. She always wants to go on everything she sees. I know whoes will add maybe an inch but I doubt anymore.

Thanks for the tips all, I am sure we will enjoy our trip anyways, just few rides less we all will be able to go on.

Find her some of those trendy thong shoes with a 2" sole on it. If they're uncomfortable for park usage, just put them on her before the rides and let her wear regular shoes the rest of the day. Good luck. :)

*sigh* I hate being the rational one sometime, but someone has to say it:

Height requirements are there for safety reasons. Please don't screw with them, and if you do please accept responsibility for your actions should something go wrong.

If shoes are enough to make a child meet height requirement then I don't see how that would be unsafe.I assume most height requirements are in place so that the rider can be seated propperly...with the assistance of a shoe with a thicker sole this is possible. I really don't see ANY safety issues. Height is height!

I agree that the assigned requirements are there for a reason, however I am not trying to get around them really, just bummed about it. Although, I also agree with the person who says height is height, they don't say the requirements are without shoes, it just says that a certain height is the requirement. I would not go as drastic as those 2 inch thongs as I hate those things. I think she is about 43 & half with the shoes she has, without is not much over 42 inches. We will still have fun, just means no Space Mtn or Mission Space.

Now off to find a hotel, seems to be hard to do for this memorial day weekend.....

No offense to anyone, but there is no way I would take my 4 1/2 year old daughter on MS or SM, even if she met height requirements. It would scare the tar out of her and she would be nervous about every other ride for the rest of the trip. Am I alone on this? Is my daughter too fearful?

Some children enjoy thrills at that age and some don't. Just like some of us as adults enjoy thrills and some don't. It's kind of neat...ya know children. They're little miniature people! ;)
