It was October, and my pictures from my just-ended trip to Walt Disney World were still transferring into Aperture when I got an itch. So I went into my backpack and found my Mickey Mouse head puffed-rice treat on a stick. And I ate it. But my itch was still there. The Mickey head didn't make it go away. Neither would the rest of my Disney candy.
It was that Itch. Capital letter-I Itch. The Itch to go back. This isn't supposed to happen... I just got home. Bother... this is an annoyance. So I hop on my computer and instant message my college roommate, Mike. He's getting kind of burned out at work. He needs a vacation. I need a nice long vacation. He's never been to Walt Disney World before. I want to go back. We worked something out.
On May 19th, I will once again set my alarm for 3:00AM and driving to Bradley International Airport to catch a 6:30AM flight to Orlando. Mike will be meeting me at Disney, as he will be flying out of Baltimore. I may have two others coming with me, Branden and his girlfriend, but he's waiting for his GI Bill to come in and redo his finances. Branden has also never been, but his girlfriend has been, albiet a while ago.
So much to celebrate, as well. With two first-timers, we will certainly be able to get pins for that. However, my birthday is on May 25th (we are staying until the 26th) and Branden's is on May 30th, so we will have birthday dinners for those, too.
Mike and I will be lodged at the All-Star Sports Resort; Branden and his girlfriend may join us, but they may also stay at Shades of Green. He's still deciding. We will all be on the Deluxe Dining Plan because, well, I like good food. And speaking of good food, we have a fantastic lineup of food. Here goes:
Saturday, May 19th:
-Lunch: Sanaa
-Dinner: Big River Grill
Sunday, May 20th:
-Lunch: Whispering Canyon
-Dinner: California Grill (fireworks, and possibly Branden's birthday)
Monday, May 21st:
-Breakfast: Tusker House
-Lunch: Yak and Yeti
-Dinner: Jiko
Tuesday, May 22nd:
-Lunch: The Coral Reef
-Dinner: Rose and Crown (fireworks)
Wednesday, May 23rd:
-Lunch: 50's Prime Time Cafe
-Dinner: Artist's Point
Thursday, May 24th:
-Lunch: Via Napoli
-Dinner: Liberty Tree Tavern (fireworks)
Friday, May 25th:
-Lunch: Kona Cafe
-Dinner: Narcoossee's (fireworks)
Saturday, May 26th:
-Lunch: Mama Melrose's
I am really, really excited. As a photographer, lots of awesome angles and opportunities to see and shoot fireworks. The day I fly down, I should be able to capture the tail end of the EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival. Then, we'll have two separate Star Wars Weekends to enjoy, as well. I also have a proper Moleskine this time, so I will have a proper Trip Report done up this time!
