Someone isn't easily entertained....
Don't get me wrong I love movies and good entertainment. But speeches or informational videos seem to bore me most of the time! (Not all the time). What I meant to say was a video would be equally as engaging as your novel longs ideas in writing! Not that one is better then the other. Sorry for the confusion!

Hahaha it's fine I get it. The TL post will go up today so we'll see if that one can entertain you. It looks to be somewhere between 15-20 pages (with pictures).

Thanks for the ideas! I think I will start to make videos for my projects so I can describe in more detail my plans.

I'll probably be posting my critiques in intervals throughout today and tomorrow. I'm working all day, and it is tough to get through some of these. I apologize if mine are not incredibly long, I just am really busy this weekend.

A vote will be held to determine who wins. The date the vote goes up is still unknown, but probably some time early next week.

@Sassagoula-Rvr - I actually love what you did here. First off, I was expecting everyone to go the Space Mountain refurbishment route, and I'm glad you did. The track being replaced is almost necessary at this point, and the onboard audio will really help to enhance the experience. I'm glad you've updated all of the effects to modernize more, but still kept all of the theming elements the same. I think it's important that SM at Disneyland and Magic Kingdom are still different, and I would hate to see them clone what they did for SM at Disneyland. The detachable guns for Buzz are a very welcome improvement, and I'm glad you've decided to refurb the queue and pre-show area. However, you didn't mention many changes throughout the ride itself, except adding 3-D screens and a new ending. I think changing the ride to mainly 3-D screens will draw too many similarities to TSMM, another Toy Story themed "shooter". Though you did only say "some", which still reinforces the idea that real sets will be used. The WALL-E attraction sounds very cute and very educational at the same time, but I feel that MK has too many omnimover attractions. I wish that you used some different type of ride tech, other than the omnimover. Yes, they have a high capacity, and yes they are very family friendly, it's just that there are so many other ride technologies out there that would have the same effect. Still, it seems like a very worthy attraction for Tomorrowland, especially with the environmental message it gives off. The Others was very interesting and I actually really like it. It provides a humorous and fun take on extraterrestrial life, without being too scary. It could really leave people thinking and laughing at the same time. Though, the name sounds scary and it makes me think of that suspenseful Nicole Kidman film about ghosts. I think the name of the attraction and the theme of extraterrestrials being real could drive families away. Just a different name would suffice. I'm glad you've done little to CoP and TTA. Two very classic attractions that are unique to MK that should always remain there, if properly maintained (which you did!). Very good job!

@ctxak98 - Again, a very good proposal. A lot of the work that you do is always top notch! Your updates to Space Mountain and CoP were very necessary, though I don't think a complete change in track layout for SM would be needed. Just a track replacement, but not a layout changer. However, it's your vision of an updated Tomorrowland, not mine! Haha. CoP's cleanup and updating it to today's standards is a smart move. I feel like the UFO Galaxy Gliders is not necessary. It does seem far too similar to Astro Orbiter, and it would be weird to see basically two Astro Orbiters in Tomorrowland. The spinning UFO vehicles are nice, but it's still too similar to Astro Orbiter. I do love your colored in concept art and the little logo you made! Very creative! I honestly love The Mysterious Planet, and I agree wholeheartedly that MK needs more awesome, but slightly scary "E-Ticket" attractions. You went into great detail about the story line of the attraction and the thrills it would provide. However, I think I may have missed something or got confused or you left something out... What kind of ride is it? I saw you mentioned motion simulator, but then you mentioned guests moved towards a "roller coaster typed seating" area? Is it a walk-through with many types of ride vehicles and technologies? I am just very confused on what type of ride it is. Still, you went into great lengths in describing the story and it seems very interesting. Earth Rovers seems awesome. Yes, I do see it as being a pavilion at Epcot, but it is still greatly executed. I love d facade that you drew and the idea was just very well executed. I don't have a gripe at all with it replacing two attractions. Promise of Tomorrow also seems very innovative and very interesting. I love how it takes you through the rest of Tomorrowland that you don't get to see on foot. It would help make the land seem much larger and it would truly transport to another place. Though, again, you didn't mention what type of ride it was. You did say dark-ride, but that's a very broad term. Again, it's just a small gripe for this ride because it will be family friendly no matter what. Awesome job! This was a great proposal and I felt that it was very complete and very well thought out.

More to come later!

Oh your right about my clarification! Sorry! in the mysterious planet the first briefing room is a short simulator, then the whole group is moved into the portal chamber(the same round room as SGE, but with eenhancements) where the seating is more comfortable and the reatrainnts are more like aa rollercoaster!

As for the promise of tomorrow I wanted it to be a new family dark ride so a mix between a emv and the cat in the hat at IOA. Its not as intense as a true emv and doesn't do as much but it needs the feeling of flying!

@jdmdisney99 - Interesting proposal... First and foremost, your first two attractions sound so similiar. Everything goes wrong, group of aliens, crashed ship, etc. While I'm on the topic, all of your Tomorrowland seemed too "alien-centric". This is your idea, but it seems that capitalizing on aliens in basically every new attraction might seem a little... tired. Again, this is your idea and your proposal, and if you think the world of tomorrow will certainly involve a bunch of ships crashing and aliens, then so be it. I did like A Dimension Away better than the first, though I really wish you would have said what type of ride this was and where it was going. You did say "a la Philharmagic", which leads me to believe it's a show? I don't like how you made things more "real alien-like" for Buzz. It is a Toy Story themed ride. Wouldn't it make sense to have everything themed as a toy? If you wanted the attraction to be more realistic, I think it would have been safer to completely change the theme. You didn't do much with Astro Orbiter, which is okay I guess. I think it would have been ideal to follow suit of the other members and add a second elevator, because capacity seems to be a very big problem for this attraction. Little changes done with TTA, but again, I don't like how made this ride more about aliens (with the narration) than just the future in general. Though, I'm sure you meant that only a snippet of the audio would be about aliens, which would tie in well with the whole alien thing you've got going on here. I like what you did with Space Mountain, it really needs help right now! I thought that the night-time effects on the dome was a very nice touch, and I was glad you included that. I liked the Astronomy Awards (very clever name)! I wish you went into more detail with Area 52. You told me SO little about, except that it has more aliens, and, of course, everything goes horribly wrong and we have to escape. Not much else to comment on... I do like The Astronomers Club and the dinner theater. Seems like those would help to add some interesting themed dining experiences to the park. Also, I don't think the wall is completely necessary. I'm sure people would end up bashing a large, metallic wall as an eyesore before they welcome it as an addition. Overall, this was a moderate proposal. You had some interesting ideas, but you left me wanting more. You didn't give me the exact layout of where things would go, etc. I also think that each ride added capitalized too much on aliens and things going bad. I really think you got a little carried away with the whole extraterrestial thing.

@afarese - I liked this, but it had it's weaknesses. First off, I'm glad with what you've done with Carousel of Progress. Adding scenes and generally sprucing up this attraction is what is really needed. Little changes to TTA, but I think that's okay, because I believe it's fine as is. Though new audio does seem to be needed, but you knocked that out! Glad you've added (wow!) 2 more elevators to Astro Orbiter! This will help load people up and down quicker, and make it a more seamless process getting people on the ride. General spruce up of Buzz, which is needed, and (yay!) detachable guns! Most members have included this, and I'm glad you have as well. I also liked how you added some harder targets, to make those pros have to look even harder. Space Mountain refurbishment was nice, and I love that you included a launch. Though, I was wondering, is the launch going where the chainlift currently is? An up-hill launch sort of like The Incredible Hulk? I guess you did say that the lift-hills would be silent, so I take it that the launch is somewhere else throughout the ride? Anyways, I think that an uphill launch would help to reinforce the feeling of going into space. I think that WALL-E's Mission to Space would need another name, as it sounds far to similar to Mission: Space. Though, the ride seems very cute and I'm sure it'd be a hit. People of Tomorrow sounds great, especially how comedic it sounds. Tron Adventures was by far the weakest part of your proposal. First and foremost, I know a lot of people want a Tron attraction. But me personally? I couldn't care less. Just because it's sci-fi, does not mean it just needs to be thrown into Tomorrowland. Its the same gripe I have with Stitch and Laugh Floor... How do they fit with Walt's vision of tomorrow? They don't. They're just there because they are somewhat science fiction. Though, maybe a Tron ride executed properly might sparke my interest and throw a wrench into my opinion. However, this was not the case. You barely said ANYTHING about this attraction, except that it's an indoor roller coaster. Does Tomorrowland really need ANOTHER indoor coaster? I really wish you told me more about this attaction. And Laugh Floor staying may or may not be the smartest move with the addition of People of Tomorrow. Two comedic shows revolving around audience interaction in the very same land? Meh. The first half of your post was strong, but I believe the Tron ride and keeping MILF really weakened it.

Alas...as I was afraid of at the time...real life prevented me from returning to properly finish my proposal! (Sucks how that seems to be happening more and more to me!!) I am very glad I decided to post what I had done. Thanks a lot to @BryceM for putting this on and the great comments!

@BryceM Yeah, I was pretty much just brainstorming and shortly describing in this challenge and didn't really go all out. I guess it was really alien scentric. Thanks for the critique. I have thought of numerous concepts for New Tomorrowlands but I can never get it right...Oh well! :D

I've been thinking guys and I could use some help from someone who has been to the parks recently. Would adding a second elevator really increase capacity? Adding ships would, but elevators? I have no idea how they load but wouldn't they get everyone up in elevators before the ride is over?

OK FIRST! your taking way too LONG! ;) but secondly...I think it would not increase capacity but the flow of it! The whole wait for the elevator part makes you wait longer so having two would probably(psychologically) makeit seem faster

@BryceM haha thanks! I tried to replace MILF but I honestly couldn't think of anything, so I just left it. Besides that I just thought that mine was "meh" Procrastination killed me with the lack of some ideas.

Well....I tried to keep them short, but I'm a pretty long winded guy, so they get longer as the post progresses. I've only made my way through about three or four of them, but I've got to get to sleep (work in the morning) so this is what I have so far. I'll post the rest as soon as I can! Great job everyone!

@Sassagoula-Rvr
Great job, you had a lot of good concepts and overall ideas, but I wish you had gone into more detail in a lot of places. For example, Obviously the Space Mountain Re-Do is a must, but I wish you had told us more about the ride experience, and details about the feel of your creation. Another example is the loading system for the Astro Orbiter, which you basically just said would be changed.

As far as your new rides; I had some major problems with the concept of Wall-E: Return to Earth and Ultimately I don’t think it really made much sense. Omnimover is great, obviously Capacity is at the forefront when designing new attractions for Magic Kingdom, so that’s good. I don’t know if you’re aware but X-S Tech was the company from Alien Encounter, I wish that you had either addressed that, or chosen a different name. Speaking of names, the character is EVE, not EVA. “The Others” is an interesting concept but makes me think of Lost and the Nicole Kidman Movie, there could be something here, I like the interactivity and feel, but major retooling would be necessary.

Finally, I like the idea of your Buzz Refurbishment, but I feel like you could have taken it even further, good jumping off points, but some missed opportunities, the opposite with The Carousel of Progress. It takes place in the 20th century, I’m very hesitant about Upgrades. I wish you had gone into more detail here. Ultimately I’m a tough critic, but I wish you’d have gone into more detail about more or less everything, lots of good ideas, but some of them were difficult to puzzle out.

@ctxak98
Right out the gate, I love the feel of your idea. Space exploration and the unknown are what tomorrow is all about.

I like the Space Mountain upgrade, the updates to be similar to Disneyland’s version are great, and I love the added visuals to the ride as well.

I’m very hesitant about upgrading Carousel of Progress. It’s supposed to take you through the 20th century, and those marvels to be discovered there are still relevant. I feel like we haven’t really had a significant enough leap since the turn of the century to justify upgrading the show. That said, if it had to be updated, I like the technology you wanted to include.

I like the idea of Galaxy Gliders, but it feels repetitive, I almost wish you would have just replaced the Astro Orbiter instead.

I like the idea of replacing Stitch’s Great Escape, but it seems like your replacement is a bit too close to Alien Encounter, I wish you would have ventured out into more new territory.

I like your vehicle concept art for the Promise of Tomorrow, The only thing I wish you would have gone into more detail about perhaps some interactive elements to it. I feel that may have been a missed opportunity.

I absolutely adore Earth Rovers, Wonderful concepts, wonderful art, wonderful descriptions, one of the best ideas I have ever heard as far as tomorrowland expansions. It feels both like Classic Disney, almost an EPCOT Center Type feel, while also creating a feeling of technology, and tomorrow. Bravo!

Ultimately, I think I’m more critical of you than I am with others, because the way that you write comes across so brilliantly to me that I can almost understand where you are going before you are done. I love all of your ideas, and you are definitely a front runner in my mind. I can’t say enough how much I appreciate your participation in these concepts, you are a breath of fresh air, and I hope to read more and more from you as time goes on. WONDERFUL job!

@Alien
You gave us very little to work with here. Perhaps some good ideas, but nothing is fleshed out. First of all I hate the use of your phrase “Watered-down” I feel like you could have gotten that point across much better. I’m not sure why you feel the need to build an EMV in space, it doesn’t seem to make much sense to me, and the feel of the Verne-Esque retro future just doesn’t seem to fit the rest of Tomorrowland. I’m sorry, but your ideas didn’t do much for me personally.

@jdmdisney99
WOW! There is a lot going on here! Well done it seems like you put work into this.

That being said, a lot of it seems cluttered, and just too much of a good thing. It seems like your idea is to take this tomorrowland into the Distant Future where Aliens and Humans already live together, and your portrayal of Aliens was very cartoon-y. I’m not really sure I get the vibe of this land, it doesn’t really seem to fit with the tomorrowland we know and love but let’s give this a shot.

Galactic adventure is an interesting idea, I like the idea of a new E-Ticket for Tomorrowland, but a rollicking Space Journey seems a bit too close to Mission: Space for my taste. Even though this would obviously have a more cartoonish feel, it seems like we’ve done this already.

I’m a bit confused about A Dimension away, I wish you had gone more into the technology, Is it a circlevision show? Is it a 3-D show? Is it a Dome like Kong and Turtle Trek?

I like the visual changes to Astro Orbiter.

The Galaxy Palace Gardens is a good idea, but seems poorly placed. There’s not a lot of foot traffic over there, it would probably get overlooked.

I’m definitely not a fan of moving the Carousel of Progress. And replacing it with an attraction like the flying saucers which have gotten such bad word of mouth since their debut in California seems like a PR nightmare.

Interesting ideas for a Space Mountain Redo, but ultimately I think we need to completely re-do this ride, so I wish you had gone into more detail.

The Astronomy Awards seems like a bit of a high concept show. It feels weird, and a bit too cheesy for my taste.

I’m not sure I get the idea of Area 52, it seems like the money needed for this project would have better been spent elsewhere.

I’m definitely not a fan of bringing back Plectu. And the Astronomer’s club just doesn’t fit with the rest of your cartooney alien themed tomorrowland. Ultimately there is a lot going on here, and a lot of it just comes across as Cluttered. A lot of good ideas here, but together it just seems like a bit too much for me.

@Afarse
I’m always hesitant about Carousel of Progress updates, and yours is no exception. I really don’t like the idea of moving the final scene into the future, and especially the robot house maid seems way too cartoony for this ride that is grounded in the real human experience. Plus Tom Morrow narrating the 90s scene is just wrong in my eyes, It’s supposed to be about a family, not robots.

I definitely wouldn’t want old audio on the TTA, it’s a tomorrowland refurb, how about something new instead, but with the feel of the old audio.

I feel like you could have done a lot more with Buzz Lightyear, you made a step in the right direction, but lots of missed opportunities here.

I love the idea of turning Space Mountain into a launch coaster, but I wish you’d have gone into more details here. Is it at all like Mission 2? How would you let the public know that it’s a completely different ride now? Good thoughts, but I wanted more.

I think it’s time to completely rip out the ride system for Alien Encounter, and while replacing it with Wall-E is a noble effort, it just doesn’t make sense? Why would you trust a trash collecting robot to take you to another planet? Especially when our planet has such issues at the end of the story? I’m also confused about where and when this takes place? Tomorrowland is a specific place and time and you seem to have ignored that.

I feel like People of tomorrow is repetitive of already existing attractions. I feel like you would have needed to put more work into the specific time and place feel of your tomorrowland for this to work properly.

God knows I want a Tron Coaster so badly, but once again, it seems like you’re ignoring the time and place of tomorrowland.

Let me try to explain exactly what I think here. You created a lot of really great ideas, but then you threw them together without a cohesive theme. There is no feel of Place or Time to your tomorrowland, it just seems to be random attractions with a kind of sci-fi feel to them, and that’s fine, but I wish you’d have gone into more detail about how this all fits together.

@rct247
I adore the feel of your Sci-Fi city style tomorrowland. One of the things I like most about New Fantasyland is the attention put into how the area looks at night, obviously this is important, and something that needs to be focused on with Tomorrowland and you got it right out the gate, well done.

Unlike some of the others, you’ve actually managed to make the Astronomer’s club fit and you did it well. Same thing with your Stitch replacement, very much fits the feel and vibe of tomorrowland.

I definitely liked your ideas for upgrading Buzz, I feel like you hit the nail on the head with this one. I think all of your updates to Orbiter are very feasible as well.

I’m always very hesitant about upgrading the Carousel of Progress, but what you’ve done here is take the existing rules and thrown them out the window and for that you are to be commended. You created a ride here that is relevant, retro, futuristic, idealistic, and seems like exactly what we would focus on. You are the first person ever to make me not hate the idea of upgrading the Carousel. Because, while I would prefer leaving the ride as-is, you created a new experience, almost like a sequel, rather than trying to improve what is already great. Well done.

I actually really like the Galaxy Palace Stage idea, and while I don’t like the idea of modern music in tomorrowland, you did it well.

While I like the idea of upgrading Space Mountain, you hit a lot of good points here, my reservation comes from “If it’s not broke, don’t fix it” I think it is broke. The layout right now isn’t very good, and keeping it would probably be impossible anyway, with a new larger track to accommodate new larger trains and new show scenes.

I really wish you had gone into more detail with your speedway replacements, I love the idea of bringing back House of the Future, I feel that is still very relevant, I am less enthusiastic about Adventures Thru Inner Space however. Been there done that. I also wish you had gone into more detail about the Wall-E dark ride. Although it does seem to fit your Sci-Fi themed tomorrowland well.

Obviously I’m craving the Tron E-Ticket just like everyone is, and I think you might be the first person to pull it off. You set the scene with your Sci-Fi Inspired land, but in reality Tron Takes place today, but you make it work with it being a separate area.

Ultimately, your area is very well done, with a very specific feel that I think works for the Magic Kingdom. In my mind you are definitely a front runner!
