Now that mask mandates for public transportation have been struck down, how quickly will we see Disney follow suit and remove the mandates from their transportation on monorails and busses?

I think this Friday it will be lifted. Announcement incoming Wednesday or Thursday
Disney's more cautious about this than public health authorities and the politicians in charge.

They're good at making you think that but since distancing and capacity limits went away, they've made little to no effort to mitigate COVID-19 in their parks aside from requiring masks indoors. And as of right now, there are no mitigation measures in place except transportation. Surely we can agree that that sole mask mandate alongside crowded maskless settings everywhere else on property have no discernible effect.

Good I expect NYC will be safe by next month if Amtrak and NJ Transit will remove mask mandate for trains for good.

Most all of the major US airlines (United, Delta, Alaska, American, etc..) have all come out in the last hour or so stating they they will no longer enforce a mask mandate. They are also asking for patience from the traveling public as there will be inconsistency in the policy over the next day or so as they get their communication out to all of their staff around the country about the change.

The reality is, this is the day the mandate was supposed to expire anyway so it just didn’t get extended.

do you still plan to go to Disney?
Of course, but taking my own precautions, like using real NIOSH certified N95 masks and hand sanitizer and alcohol in our backpacks, but otherwise still plan to have fun.

Unfortunately, the pediatrician gave us a no-go on this week's trip (she had been there last week and felt is was too crowded for us to go with a baby), so we postponed it a month, and are taking our nugget to the beach instead, which is far less crowded.

Once it’s dropped on WDW transportation from the ones I’ve talked to here the past few days would be surprised if Disney ever brought masks back. The people don’t want them, the cast members SURELY don’t want them, it’s only the WDW lawyers and medical staff that use their crystal ball and figure out what magical metrics to lift or impose them.

I had one cast member tell me they’d quit if they brought them back. I asked why and they said they didn’t want any more abuse over it.

I hope they hold out the rest of the summer and are able to go without masks. I think the majority of Americans will go back to them in the fall of needed. As long as the rest of the spring and summer are a good break the fall most people will comply. Anything before that and I don’t think anyone will.

I'll do with crystal ball about this fall and winter for the masks will be gone then....
