So I thought the first two episodes were good. This is going to be an interesting show. Good to see that Agatha is up to her manipulative ways as always.

Something else I really appreciate about this show is its pacing. Slight spoilers for the first two episodes to follow, so be warned:
The whole premise of the show is walking the witches road to get Agatha's powers back.
Episode 1 was Agatha breaking free from the spell, and setting up the threat of the Salem 7.
Episode 2 was them rounding up the supportingvictims witches, and accessing the witches road.
In previous marvel shows I feel like we wouldn't even get to the witches road until the second to last episode. We're really hitting the ground running, and I'm very excited to see what they're going to do with the amount of episodes left.

It doesn't feel anything like a Marvel property (Wandavision didn't either), but I think it is probably a perfectly fine Halloween show on its own.

Outside of the those, the initial reviews appear to be positive for the show. With Ep1 getting a 7.3 and Ep2 getting a 7.5 on IMDB, and 78% audience score on RT overall.
What is a Marvel show suppose to feel like???….Personally I like it when Marvel plays with different genres(Stars Wars should too) Winter soldier feels vastly different the Guardians which feels vastly different to Doctor Strange

I thought it felt - give or take a moment or two - absolutely like a Marvel property. They have an entire horror side to their universe and this goes fine with Moon Knight, Werewolf by Night, and if they ever remake Blade, etc.

It’s interesting how people interpret things differently, I kind of agree it doesn’t feel like a Marvel show, but I strongly associate Marvel with superheroes
Wandavision didn’t feel like a Marvel show either, at least not in the beginning, it became more of a superhero series as it went along but the first several episodes were far more mystery than superhero. I’d say the same of Moon Knight, Werewolf, etc. They felt more mystery/horror than superhero.
Had I read the comics I’m sure I’d associate them with Marvel, since I didn’t they feel separate from what I associate with Marvel though.

It feels like a Ryan Murphy show. I mean that as a compliment.
Yeah, if you're not into the comics, you mostly get from mass media Batman, Superman, and Spider-Man stories. Then a lot more super-powered heroes fighting super-powered threats.
But the comics go into a lot of other genres, like cosmic tales, and street level fighters, and horror, and for some strange reason, keep trying to do Western. With Jonah Hex. Who's just a mutilated guy with a gun out for revenge and sometimes helps people. I don't get it. Stop trying to make Jonah Hex a thing, DC!

What do they all have in common? Pick the Top 5 most important things. Then ask yourself if this show shares those commonalities.
It's a good exercise to determine if a new tv show or movie feels like it belongs in it's larger universe. Try the same thing with The Mandalorian or Rogue One versus A New Hope and The Phantom Menace.

We're only two episodes in, and it already had direct references to a former Avenger. So there is your "common" thread for it being a Marvel show.

That’s not very nice. Based on my familiarity with the various Story and 911 series and Monster, Murphy shows tend to be nasty, exploitative, unsubtle, and often quite sleazy, leveraging real-life tragedy in thoughtless ways. Agatha seems to be fun, brassy, clever, and imaginative.

Huh, is Marvel known for characters with extraordinary powers going on imaginative adventures? Why yes, yes they are! Seems like Agatha fits in neatly.
Marvel itself has to function as something much broader than a genre, to encompass all genres. They need to produce Marvel horror, Marvel westerns, Marvel romance, Marvel spy stories, Marvel musicals, etc. They’re attempting to do this with some success, but it’s honestly one of the areas in which they need to improve. Agatha (and Werewolf) are moves in the right direction.

It's not as graphic or adult as a Ryan Murphy show, but Agatha has a similar camp/horror vibe to several American Horror Story seasons (especially American Horror Story Coven). Will also appeal to the theatre kids who liked Glee (another Ryan Murphy show).
