According to the article, an announcement was made this morning that Marvel stockholders have approved the merger with Disney.

Yep, I'd guess some characters will show up in 2010.

Park. I don't think we will see them in MK, EC or DAK, God willing, and if they have any sense.


I'll be accepting of them, if we see them in DHS. I think. Too early to tell.

My inside source at Marvel ( who is not a NYC bus driver) said there was a photo shoot of a guy in a spiderman costume shaking mickey hand in the magic kingdom that was schedule sometime this weekend. Do not know if true, but a spidey costume was ship down south this weekend. (I can reveal that my source is a writer/editor for marvel and sometime DC comics who is my neighbor).

O no you are 100% correct it's an awesome deal, a VERY smart business move. I mean buying the company whose characters are a major part of your main compettion's park, BRILLIANT! But, what I don't want to see is the photo that that other poster was talking about with spidey with mickey shaking hands!

I wish the internet would've been around (like it is today) when Disney brought in the Muppets, Star Wars, and Indiana Jones. I bet the same responses would've happened, yet people now accept them as part of the Disney culture.
