Marvel Stockholders Approve Disney Merger

Park. I don't think we will see them in MK, EC or DAK, God willing, and if they have any sense.

Agreed. There isn't one Marvel character who belongs in the MK - except....MAYBE....Tomorrowland. And that's only if they build a ride to accommodate.

DAK, never. Epcot, I'm sure they'll try, and ruin even more theming. DHS is the only logical stateside theme park for them.

I wish the internet would've been around (like it is today) when Disney brought in the Muppets, Star Wars, and Indiana Jones. I bet the same responses would've happened, yet people now accept them as part of the Disney culture.

QFT.

I can see it now...

"Indiana Jones?!!?! Seriously?!?! Put him in Disneyland and I MIGHT KILL SOMEONE."

Get over it, this is a good deal. :p
Money wise, sure. Theming wise? Not really. I see this only in DHS.

In a way, but we still know that they are not Disney. Thus, not being applicable to a purely Disney park, like a MK, Studios, or EPCOT.

As said before, they are in DL, and they do work very well. But, that is only due to the amount of detail, quality, and backstory applied to the theme. If they must shove Marvel somehow (:hurl:) into a unique Disney environment, I pray they take the same steps. It will be much more difficult, though. I can see how the gap is bridged with Star Tours. Same with IJA. Marvel? We shall see.

(Can you tell that I HATE this?)

None offense taken, Just remember it just a photo shoot lasting a few minutes, probably in the rose garden with castle background . Probably little amount of people will ever saw it take place.
Of course! I look forward to seeing the images.

Well, you have nutters like me that still don't think he's a perfect fit, so your point is moot. :D

Just for fun, unlikely additions to Frontierland. But hey, if they are digging deep.. why not. :D

I'm glad the ball is rolling now that the merger is complete. I want to see some Iron Man at TL. Maybe a Fantastic 4 innoventions exibit. I think Disney will use some of the heroes, only the popular ones that aren't tied to UNI. Xmen, Iron Man, Capt America, Thor, Venom, Dare Devil. I can keep going....sense my excitment!

BTW, before I start getting heat, I see no need of heroes in FL or DAK. I somewhat agree with most of you, but come on...don't u like new stuff at our parks?

I love new stuff. I just like it to adhere to the intricate framework and "rules" that WDI has created that makes Disney such a cohesive and imersive setting.

The only place I see this happening is in DHS, if they ever make it across the Mississippi.

Your prerogative...but...why?

Do you really think that Disney needs to use Marvel to do well?

Like I told you before, they are bringing in great characters that will provide them an opportunity to expand the current fan base. They are also getting some excellent storytellers and a whole group of talented individuals. It also provides a ton of new content for the company to pool from.

Lastly, it provides a tool to reach the market Disney has seemed to neglect recently, boys. Disney has really seemed to and fail to reach that demographic in recent years. The only thing they have been able to use to any extent is Pirate and Cars. This provides them with an established brand that has proven in the past and continues to attract that particular demographic .

See, all that= good.

I have no problem with them making money off of this, much the same way where I want D23 to do well.

You know what I DON'T want with this, though. I don't want them invading the parks, having random attractions put anywhere, and using this franchise as a crutch for their lacking creativity.

WDI can be amazing on their own. They don't need Marvel (or even WDSA Movies) to wow us.

What about the track history of WDI makes you think they are going to put an Iron Man show on the castle stage?

They will utilize it and implement it the same way they have everything else.
