Marvel ride ideas for WDW

That's what I was thinking, but wasn't sure. Still want to know exactly how Harry Potter's going to work, I'm assuming like Sum of All Thrills, but actually moving somewhere. Is that correct?

Quite so. It moves on a track like a rollercoaster, but the arm is programmed to move in specific motions to dodge the props and move with the screens motions.

That's what I thought, I'm really ready to hear about some ride-throughs and/or see video. Also, really hoping to get down there soon to actually ride it.

I can tell the giant spider animatronic will scare a good number of people.

Especially me! I hate spiders, in fact about nearly 30 seconds of the ride is taken up in the spider den with animatronic spiders going off around you! Ugh... But otherwise, you see that there is so much you can do with the system!

I think the Marvel characters can fit in any of the parks. Tomorrowland would be a good place for Iron Man. Our you could go to the archives and get Kid Colt for Frontierland. As someone mentioned you could put Thor in Norway and Iron Man in futureworld. You could even fit Black panther and Wakanda(fictional African nation in the Marvel Universe) in Animal Kingdom.

Also as far as devoting a 5th gate to Marvel, I don't think it would cater to one group of people. The Marvel U has a lot more depth than its given credit for and I think Disney should give a bit more exposure to some of the second tier characters. If people were exposed to the whole Marvel Universe I think the idea of a Marvel theme parked would be more well received.

I really hope if they do a fifth gate eventually that they go with a Heroes and Villains park. I think Marvel would work well as a kind of Fantasyland in the back connecting the villains and the heroes side. I don't know about all the lands, but a Legendary Heroes land, featuring underused characters like Hercules, Mulan, and even Aladdin seems like it could work well, with Disney Villains having their own land on the other side of the park. Much like the Tree of Life or Spaceship Earth, I think Bald Mountain with a Fantasia dark ride/coaster, like the Mummy, would make for a nice hub.

I think thats a perfect idea. Heroes and Villains would make the best use of all of those properties. good idea!

Those were pretty much the three major lands I came up with when the Marvel deal went down, I can't remember if I ever thought of the other two to really fill it out. Marvel seems like it would be the perfect way to bridge the gap between Heroes and Villains, and Disney wouldn't have to worry as much about their park scaring younger kids. I also think a Bald Mountain dark ride/coaster would be a great way to honor Fantasia, not exactly my favorite movie, but it seems like it has great music and scenes that would a ride very nicely.

From what I said earlier, no, I guess it wouldn't totally ruin WDW. But I still just don't see it. Is there ANY plans at all confirmed to add Marvel to the parks or is it all just speculation at this point?

And I guess DHS would be best if any. Personally I think the theming fell apart when the name changed so they could basically put anything in there right now and it would work. It cant be worse than the power rangers!!!

Just speculation I think, I don't even know how the Universal contract really works out.

I don't think theming fell apart with the name change to DHS, though it has always been probably the poorest themed park. I think they may be moving in the right direction. Sunset Boulevarde is currently the best themed area, but hopefully when the other lands better develop their identities, they will get better as well.
