I went to Disneyworld on March 19th. My wife andI went shopping at World of Disney. I saw them selling Marvel Comics stuff there. Is this just the beginning, has anyone hear rumors of Universal shutting down their Marvel Comics Attractions, so Disney can start their own Marvel Comics based theme park?

Universal have long term contractual rights to operate those attarctions, so there is no danger of them being removed.

Yes but included in those contracts are the right for Disney to look at Universal's finances and have veto power over anything Universal wants to use the Marvel characters for, so I think Universal will want to phase them out. Disney will be content to sit back and collect money from Universal.

It may well prevent Universal from adding new uses for the Marvel items, but I really don't see them phasing the existing things out, they don't have the money to replace them.

Once Upon A Toy certainly has but I don't think World of Disney has. I saw it when I was there in March as well. It's bang next to Toy Story and Pirates stuff as you go in the door where the Pirates movie statues are.

If Universal cared enough they would probably re-theme them rather than replace them. Similar to when Cedar Fair bought our local Six Flags park, the Superman and Batman coasters became Steel Venom and Dominator.

That didn't involve much more than a new sign and paint job. Universal would require millions to convert. Plus it doesn't matter, they can keep everything they have.
