I bet Jim Hill will have an article about this proposed attraction tommorow morning
Doubt it.
Tomorrow's a Sunday, and JHM doesn't do Sunday articles  .
Yensid "SPECIAL SUNDAY ARTICLE: Stitch to Replace Pirates in recent rehab.
Everyone has heard about the rehabs of both Disneyland's and Walt Disney World's Pirates of the Caribbean attractions, but are they changing more than once thought? Jim Hill shares some insight.
Wow. Wow. Wow.
Just when I thought the Pirates of the Caribbean updates couldn't get any more drastic, I get proven wrong. And let me tell ya folks, that doesn't happen often.
Over the past couple months the staff here at Jim Hill Media has done their best to keep you up to date with the gong-ons of the rehab that both American versions of Pirates of the Caribbean are about to recieve. I've had sources telling me for months that jack Sparrow and Barbossa are due to invade this classic attraction in the coming months. However, My souces have been wrong. I myself am aghast.
I have recently recieved new information that Jack Sparrow is not invading POTC at all. As a matter of fact, someone else is. Get ready, because this summer Disneyland and Walt Disney World resort guests are going to have the opportuity to visit the park's newest attraction:
Stitch's Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride.
Let me tell you, I couldn't be more excited. Why? Because I've had insiders feeding me information as to what this update is going to include, and let me tell you, it's going to be one hell of a ride.
Disney's Imagineers are very excited about this project. My sources are saying that the Imagineers feel lucky to be able to take an original attraction that people love and add Stitch into the mix. "We've never done anything like this before", says one Imagineer, "and we feel lucky to be able to take an original attraction that people love and add Stitch into the mix".
For those of you who want to be suprised by this attraction, I suggest you turn away now. SPOILERS AHEAD!!!
When guests enter the Hub of Disneyland park and the Magic Kingdom this coming summer they're going to notice something new Looming over the western Horizon. Imagineers plan to install an arrogantly blue 230 foot "wave" in Place of the current facades for both Pirates of the Caribbean attractions. Due to concerns of the wave looking too fat and being considered a giant ripple, the Imagineers plan to make this wave out of flat Plywood so it comes across more as a wall of water. One Imagineer said "We're concerned that guests will think it looks too fat and consider it a giant ripple, so we plan to make this wave out of flat Plywood so it comes across more as a wall of water". Once guests enter the attraction, they will notice that the queue areas of both have remained largely similar, becuase they want guests to realize that this is still the Pirates of the Caribbean they all love, just with some updates. "We're leaving the queue's laregly unchanged, because we want guests to realize that this is still the Pirates of the Caribbean they all love, just with some updates", said one anonymous Imagineer. However, there will be some slight changes, like the infamous stalemate chess game, which will now include Jumba and Pleakley playing chess, with Stitch standing on the board with all the pieces on the floor, and Lilo off to the side saying "Bad Stitch, Bad!". At Disneyland, the infamous "Lafitte's Landing" sign will still say Laffitte's Landing, except there will be a an arrow drawn inbewteen "la" and "Fitte", and at the other end of the arrow will be the word "stinkee", so as to read "la Stinkee Fitte's Landing (La Stinky Feet). Stitch will also be placed there saying "It's French!". The Blue Bayou Restaurant will retain it's name, except it will be dramatically changed. Everything will be blue, be it the table, silverware, floor, and waiters costumes. Disney is even going so far as to issue blue underwear to the waiters and chefs, which workers will have to arrive 5 minutes before their shift for a manditory check. Don't you just love it when Disney puts in those details that only certain people notice, knowing full wel that only certain people will see it? THIS is the kind of thing Walt would have wanted.
Stay tuned tomorrow for part 2 of a series, as we cover what the actual attraction is going to entail, along with some concept art from WDI. You'll lose your mind!
