quite the contrary.... They are all very unique shops.
So was Trend-D when it first opened. The "Trophy Room" from its description isn't much different that the store it's replacing. And D-Tech doesn't sound too different from the accessories already available around WDW, again from its description.

I kind of like the Centerpiece idea. Although this is another thing that may make us skip DTD trips more often. We do not shop at high end stores, and the thought of Disney Springs having more of these shops may be just what we need for an excuse to not go there.

Seeing as how Team Mickey didn't have much that I couldn't find at my local sporting goods store, I'll take this a good thing. At least offering Disney themed merch seems more appropriate than professional sporting teams hats and shirts.

But the name and logo? Really not at all appropriate for what is going in the store. Stick in local/handmade Disney gifts, healthy food offerings, or something along those lines then I can see that going with the name and logo. At least giving it a craftsman/Co-Op feel, instead of co-opting the name for something totally unrelated. (See what I did there?)

So what's going to happen to ridemakerz who just moved into team mickey a while ago. They went from having their own store to a small section in the store. Also, where will we be able to get the team mickey merch. That was always one of my favorite stores.

As a guy with 2 boys it's so hard to find things for them, Disney always focuses on the females when it comes to merch so the team mickey store was always a good place to get my boys stuff. This is a huge loss and especially because it's gonna be for more female focused merch.

Ridemakerz I have no idea about. But "The Trophy Room" sounds as if is will carry some of the same merchandise Team Mickey had....

Am i the only one who actually liked Team Mickey?

Not at all! We loved Team Mickey, especially the Rawlings center where we purchased personalized items every year including wallets, bats, portfolios, etc. as my son is a HUGE baseball fan and HS player. This was the only store (except ESPN at DBW) in WDW we would have to drag my son out of, he would spend his entire souvenier savings here.

I will be very dissapointed if they close the Rawlings part... The remainder is primarily ESPN or generic team gear we can get anywhere but I hope this indicates that WDW may expand to a full blown ESPN shop but not holding my breath. Done right they could have nets for throwing footballs, shooting basketballs, kicking soccer balls, hitting/throwing baseballs to create an enhanced purchasing experience that would draw in sports fans and players alike.
