I have never been to the Bob Marley place. I have been to the Margaritaville's in Las Vegas, Arizonia, New Orleans, Orlando and Key West. They are basically a resturant with a island beach theme. They show videos of Jimmy in concert. I would take a child of any age there. The one at city walk is by far the best of all the ones I have been to.

We've only gone to the one at Mohegan Sun Casino here in CT (we got margaritas from the one at Citywalk once from the outside window) but it's really good. CT has guys on stilts that make balloon animals for everyone; if you have a young one I would probably recommend going earlier in the night.

Margaritaville is lots of fun for a family, I'm not certain I can say the same for Bob Marleys. It is a very small restaurant with a lot of Bob Marley stuff around. If you go for lunch its ok, but the kids may turn their nose up at the food since it has a lot of different Jamaican spices in it. It seems to be more of a bar location than a restaurant. I've been once and had no real desire to go back even though I'm a big fan of Bob Marley. We visit Margaritaville almost everytime we're at Citywalk however.

I agree with everyone else...Margaritaville is fabulous and fun. There were paper parrothead masks for kids, and a great menu. Marleys...not really as kid friendly, though I do think there is a kids menu of less spicy food.
The beach theme is just more relaxed and fun at Margaritaville.

Margaritaville is great! Whenever I got to USO I stop in there for at least a drink...most of the time for dinner. Very kid friendly!

Definitely no to Bob Marley's after 9pm - it becomes a packed house of reggae music lovers and dancers and they convert the courtyard into a dance floor by removing all of the dining tables; but before 9pm I think it would be ok.

Magaritaville would be more appropriate at all hours of the day or night.
