Ended up with a 1:38 for the half and a 3:38 for the full. Took 19 mins off my full PR. WOOT! Not bad for not having been able to run more than 14 miles for the last 2 months.

Awesome TuTu! Nice job on shaving time. 9 Minutes is a lot. Nice Job.

Very nice Full time. I could have hung with you on the Half.... but my only full so far is 4:16. Hopefully I can do as well as you did this February. Again, NICE JOB!

Congrats!

Glad yall stuck with it and finished!

Thank you so much Joel! :)

Pictures are online....that was fast.

They finally managed to capture some really nice shots of us so I think I'm going to cave and get the photo CD. Since we tended to "pose" when we came across a photographer, we're always in the shots together. I know it's outrageously priced, but considering it was our first full marathon (and perhaps last, lol!), I can stomach the cost a little better.

Where did you post them? Sorry, I looked around for a minute, might have looked right past the thread.

I think he is referring to the ones the Brightroom photographers take on the course. None of mine were any good; I’m always over someone’s shoulder or in the distance near the edge of the pic.

Ahhhh. That makes to much sense. I just read right past that.

can't speak for the Disney races, but the brightroom photo from a race I did the same weekend as Disney was not as good as asi photography.

That will sound foolish if they are the same company and only changed the name.

Anyway, my finish photo cuts out the banner with the name of the race, and there were no photographers on the 26 miles of the course - only at the finish line. Good thing I have a big medal to remind me of the race because I won't be shelling out for the photo.

I do believe they are one and the same. Brightroom was their fulfillment arm, and ASI was their photography arm. ASI has a logo on their site saying they use Brightroom for processing. From their website contact pages,

brightroom™, Inc.

3333 Quorum Drive, Suite 200
Fort Worth, TX 76137
(817) 439-6300

Mailing Address: Action Sports International

Not really sure why they decided to shoot under Brightroom. Only thing I can think of is that ASI seems to not be posting new events on their page (used to have a running list of recent events) so maybe they are folding that back into Brightroom directly instead of running two companies?

I KNOW. She looks incredible... like a walk in the park.

Hahaha... you guys are too nice. What you can't see is the salt on my face and the fact that my tank is completely soaked in sweat making it a darker shade of purple. It was a much better race for me this year than last year though, I felt a lot better at the end!

Congrats to everyone!:sohappy:

I did the Half on Saturday. It was my first half marathon ever. My mom and I finished hand-in-hand across the finish line in 2:37:59. Loved every minute of it. Running through the Magic Kingdom (my favorite park) was very magical. I didn't hardly finish the half without thinking that it was over waaaayyyyy to soon. I am already planning on doing the Goofy :pnext year! Can't wait!:ROFLOL:

a character photo or a running photo? because characters were done by photopass this year, just bought out by Brightroom/ASI

Where did you hear this? All the ones I saw were decked out in Brightroom gear, and I coulda sworn I saw multiple camera brands. If they were photopass, shouldn't they have all been Nikon D70/D80? Brightroom/ASI is bring your own body/glass. I admit that this would explain why so many more characters had photographers this year over races past.
