The reason it takes so long for BatB, TLM and SBC to be finished is the distribution of manpower while waiting for all the permits to clear. I believe that once most of the FLE is finished and open to the public in late November they will be able to put twice as much effort in finishing SDMT and be done before summer '13.

That's assuming they are willing to spend the money to do that.

More manpower doesn't necessarily equate to more efficiency either:) I'm not sure how many people they will be able to have working on a single ride without having someone standing around. It's not like they can have everyone who is currently working on both LM and BATB move over to snow white when the time is right.

I'm guessing the mine train mountain will obscure/break up the view. Maybe hide Beast's Castle from the one side near Winnie the Pooh ride, then hide Prince Eric's Castle from the other side near the carousel. However I think it will be a little odd to be standing in front of the Little Mermaid and see the FL forest looking area laid out in front.

Overall I'm sure the Imagineers have figured out sight lines "standing" in a 3D virtual model....
too help you picture it, in the actual concept model, to me, it looks as if there is alot more "mountain" facade in the front than the back ( the back would be where TLM attraction is ). The back is not built up as much and it is more of rocks which will be kinda covered by a building (which use is still unknown; probably a gift shop ). But that is just a model but im just giving you what i could see of it :)

Not in those photos no, but we were talking about somewhere else! It's easy to get jumbled up, not a problem!

you mean inside the mine. there is technically no show building, and if there is, it would be more underground. i think that is steel for the mountain itself.

Cool Pic though. cant wait to see the mountain being formed. I wish there was pics of inside belles cottage, the Resturaunt or the tents, lol

When Jay Rasolu originally unveiled New Fantasyland he said 2012 for Snow, Beast, Dumbo and 2013 for Pixie Hollow. Even though Pixie Hollow was swapped for 7 Dwarfs I would assume the plan is still the same.

I am using the term "show building" losely. Just trying to say that this isn't steel to support the coaster track. You are probably right, this it probably steel to hold up the mountain structure.

Maybe I'm mistaken but I was thinking that part of the new Fantasyland will open in the Fall of 2012 and the final stages will be sometime in 2013.

There have been indications from reliable sourcses that the Mine Train might not be open until early 2014.

I believe there will indeed be "show building" based on everything I've heard. One or both of the lifts will likely be indoors, or partially indoors.

The tube-shaped steel is for the ride structure itself. It started going up almost immediately after a permit was filed for Ride System Steel (or something like that). Steel for a building would be of "I" format, not tube.
