I don't know which version I like better. Both Towers have things that are really cool and unique. The voice over sounded weird after being so used to WDW's version. I did really like the boiler room though.

After Tower I went on Monsters Inc. It was a nice ride and I liked it. Not the best but I wouldn't mind if it was part of Pixar Place at DHS.

On my way to Paradise Pier I got my first look down Cars Land. Can't wait for my fastpass time to come :D

The changes made to Little Mermaid are exactly what it needed and truly make a difference. It's currently closed back home in MK so I hope we're finally getting these changes.

Got some shots of the whole pier and the WoC area. Shame I'm missing that but at least I'm here and I'm having a great time. Currently waiting for California Screamin'.

Carsland blew me away....truly amazing. Wait until you see it at night! Makes me sad we won't get it in FL. I am following your posts to see if we share the same first timer opinions on rides.

I will never ever ride Mickey's Death Wheel. LOL. No way. Heck, I haven't even done Screamin' [blasphemy, I know!].

Loving the pictures and posts. Feels like we're all right along with you.

I agree about the Tower. I prefer Florida's version and exterior. One of those rare times when, IMO, Florida is better. LOL. But theirs also has a few things I liked about it and it's nice to see a different exterior. I like how all the Towers [except poor WDSP] have different exteriors. I don't mind cloning but at least do something different with it.

Anywho ... on with the trip report haha

California Screamin' was really fun. I liked the music on the ride especially. Currently in line for Mickey's Death Wheel. Swinging Gondola of course ;)

That place has some mean little attractions.

I've done many of the world's tallest, fastest and scariest rides, but the one ride more than any other that made me fear for my life, that made me desperate for the experience to be over, was the Silly Symphony Swings at DCA!

I absolutely love it :) The animatronics are great and the scenery is beautiful. We rode it once more later in the night using single rider since all the FP's were gone. All of Cars Land is really well done and it looks just like the movie. One little, tiny thing I don't like is how much of the rest of the park you can see while inside the land. This is why my opinion of absolute best and most immersive theme park land still goes to Diagon Alley back home, but Cars Land is a very, very, very, VERY, close second :)

More on Cars Land:

Luigi's Flying Tires was a little fun but I can see its problems. It is pretty hard to control the tire and the ride does seem a little weird. The new ride should definitely be an improvement and if rumors are true the new ride should be heading to DHS rethemed to Buzz Lightyear.

Mater's Junkyard Jamboree is definitely the more fun of the two. I was riding alone so I was sliding A LOT lol. This is also rumored for DHS rethemed to Woody's Roundup.

Here's some more shots from the queue of and around RSR.

Now for the other rides of Paradise Pier. First up is Silly Symphony Swings.

This one is probably my favorite of the other Paradise Pier rides besides Sceamin' and the Death Wheel (loved that btw). The Zephyr was pretty much like this ride but not as fun, Jumpin' Jellyfish was just boring, and Goofy's Sky School, like its WDW cousin Primeval Whirl, I feel tosses you around and hurts a bit too much.

TSMM is pretty much the same as it is in WDW except for a different queue and MUCH shorter wait time (thanks no fastpass ;)). I did notice some weird things with the rides screens and experienced more delays than I ever have in WDW.

Aladdin was a very well done show and the Genie and Iago were HILARIOUS!!!! :hilarious: When the Genie called Iago a "Tiki Room reject" I couldn't help but wonder if that was a reference to WDW.

I also stopped for the Pixar parade and noticed a few familiar faces from AK's Finding Nemo - The Musical.
