I think west coasters tend to hype In-N-Out too much. It’s a great fast food burger but it is still a fast food burger. I have sales reps fly in from out of town a lot and I just tell them we are going to In-N-Out without praising it too much. When we get there I tell them how to order and then let them discover it for themselves. Everyone I have brought in without expectations are in love after their first bite.

Everyone does that. White Castle is constantly praised by Easterners and places like Whataburger are praised by Texans. People are passionate about what they eat, including fast food, and it's common for people to greatly express how much they love whatever it is they're eating. It not just a Westerner thing.

I was hyped for White Castle from watching Harold & Kumar and was sorely disappointed.

Love that movie!

My dad is from Brooklyn. We went to New York and tried White Castle for the first time years ago. I myself liked it (didn't love it), but I didn't know the burgers were miniature. I was still hungry, but I was too afraid to tell my grandparents lol.

This morning I went hiking. My feet were killing me afterward but it was totally worth it.

I took a panorama from the top but it's too big to upload. Sorry guys. Now I'm eating at Fat Sal's Deli for lunch.

White Castle is based in Columbus, OH, where I used to live. I actually don't know many people there who eat it. Everyone is just waiting (in vain) for the day that In-N-Out moves into the Midwest. :)

Speaking of which. A White Castle just opened on the Vegas strip. :)

That's definitely going to take a while. In-N-Out has been around for over sixty years and they're only in five states.
