As with anything else, I can find sources to support either side of the argument.

Listen, this is a sick thing that happened, and I am just suggesting that eliminating some trash on TV might be a good step at reducing sexual assault. Why resist that?

Because then you get into the issue of censorship. Who becomes the arbiter of what should and shouldn't be seen on TV?

I understand, and agree. I am not looking for censorship. I am thinking viewership patterns change when there is no longer value in being entertained with shock value programming, to something with more substance. There will always be a dynamic range of what viewers want, but I think there is currently more trash than class. Even TLC has jumped the shark.

I would support far greater controls on adult males meeting and having any physical contact with female face characters.
Please elaborate

I honestly don't feel comfortable taking pictures or being next to random strangers (been like that since I was a kid), let alone wrapping my arms around them for a pose. I mean if a complete stranger came up to me and hugged me, it would freak me out. In fact, it did. I was going into a Costco near home and the entry way lady was asking me about my id. I showed her my member id and then asked her if she needs to see my bag too. She busted out laughing for absolutely no reason and then ran up and hugged me.

I didn't know the woman. And my expression showed it.

Edit: No offense to Disney park goers who need pictures with characters, I just have never been comfortable with it.

Where's he hiding!? I aint ever seen him!

Though my cousin saw him in China once. She said to her friend "whoa, that guy over there looks exactly like Keanu Reeves" then he said "that's because I am" and gave them a wink before returning to his bao bun.
I saw his clone working at a Cracker Barrel once. Maybe there are many Keanus :cautious:

Something is wrong in the Matrix.

And yet, Disney eliminated ABC Family in favor of Freeform, to be more edgy. Perhaps the promotion of hip sex constantly on TV is also part to blame.

So this is where you going with the incident? That Disney broadcasting more adult content on a cable channel is partially to blame for a REGISTERED sex offender groping a young woman's breast?

😑

They are already forbidden from putting their arm around a female face character. Why do you think there are CMs whose job title is called "character attendant"? To prevent something like this happening.
