((HUGS)) to Dana. Hopefully they won't need to operate. And if they do, it's probably laprascopic. And that's not too bad. :lookaroun

Sooo..I have gallstones...so they say....Umm...yeah...

Been there, done that, have the scars to prove it.

Had laproscopic surgery in July 2005. I guess I was lucky because I was diagnosed after my first bad attack. Although in retrospect, I think I had an attack in 1994--same symptoms, but no one was looking at gall bladder. And I guess I'm lucky I went 11 years between attacks.

Anyway--surgery was at 10, came to around 3, was home by 5.

Felt OK the first 24--very sleepy. Then the gas thing happened Day 2--not fun (not really what you think. They pump air into your abdomen to help separate the organs so they can get to them easier. The air gets absorbed, but it really hurts until that happens.). With a little hydrocodone and time, I was about 80% by Day 4. I was ready to go to work for a half day, but they told me to wait until Monday.

I would advise that you get some help for at least 3 days, and plan on doing no more than the essentials for a week.

The surgery is absolutely worth it, however.

I am running for Homecoming Chair (person who helps make arrangements for Homecoming.) I have now learned that the bitchiest girl in the whole grade is running, too.
Her slogan is:
"I'm ____NAME____, and I'm ready, Don't Trust a Boy Named Freddy."
*laughs*

Oh GAH. That Gas was worse than the surgery itself, if you ask me. The pain from the surgery could be moderated with pain pills, but NOTHING made that gas feel better.

Freddy, you've got people from all across the country (and a few international lines) to back you up. What can she say to that? :D

First, tell us her name, and then we'll conspire for witty remarks. :lookaroun

If you ever need really extensive tests, I'll ask Marc what he can do. He's got some great contacts in the depts of surgery and others.

Thank you, you never know, it may come to that at some point...

Forget the Mondays.

We're all having a case of the Tuesdays.

Whatever it is, I want it to go away

It's a Monday in disguise!

lmmeo!

It's just a jump to the left...

And a step to the ri-i-i-i-ightttt.

Put your hands on your hips.

And bring your knees in ti-iighttttt.

LET'S. DO. THE TIME. WARP. AGAIN.

:lookaroun

hey...I guess I"m having a case of the Mondays too. I'm not feeling well today. Have a sore throat and my left nostral is closed up. I'm eithering thinking it's allergies or a sinus infection.

But, I'm eating clam chowder from Red Lobster...which is making it feel a bit better! :D
