Making Magic with MJ

I just had to medicate MJ for a meltdown, I HATE Clonodine....

Be easy on yourself honey, trust me when I say that being a A type personality sucks.
Awww. for my loves.
You are 100% right. Being Type A does suck. :(
Don't be so hard on yourself Freddy. It's better to switch into Spanish1 now than to be struggling with Spanish 2,3,4, and 5 for the next 4 years. You have a lot of adjusting to do this year - just don't let this get you down!
You're right. I know I shouldn't let it get me down, but I just want to succeed. I'm sure I'll do fine in Spanish 1, but I really wanted to try Spanish 2.
Well, I guess I did do that. But I guess what I wanted was to succeed in that, too.

Ditto, Freddy.
It's better that you realize this now and make the switch before you're too far into it!

When DS started 7th grade he really wanted to start Alg 1, largely because DD had done it then and did well. He struggled with it, even though he's a great student, and by the mid-term he realized he had made a big mistake. He just wasn't ready, but he was too proud to admit it. We finally convinced him that waiting a year to take it was not the end of the world, and he eventually settled for a Pre-Algebra. He really felt defeated for a while there, but I know if he had stayed in it, he'd be hating math even more now!

Exactly!
You know you can handle Spanish I!
My Spanish classes in both 7th & 8th grade were the abbreviated version of Spanish 1. :o
I thought I could handle it. Or maybe it was my Spanish teachers who thought I could. Maybe it wasn't me at all. :veryconfu
I just hope I can do Spanish 2 next year!

I am verrrry glad that I didn't take Alg in 7th grade. (I didn't even attempt that one!)
Math has never been my strong point, and highly doubt that it ever will!

Oh, and BTW, Romeo and Juliet is one of the most boring pieces of literature that I have ever read. :snore: Sorry if we have Shakespeare fans here!

But you don't have 2 math-major parents....
