Thanks Joanna.

I've temporarily stopped in favor of watching the 9/11 specials and am  It hurts every year, but I still won't stop watching them....

My mom's birthday is tomorrow

I can't really watch anything on 9-11. Not even the movies in the theaters. It hurts too much, especially since we lost a dear family friend in one of the towers on 9-11. He and my dad were best friends, his son and my brother are in the same grade, and I had his two daughters in Teens-and-Tots (it's a preschool program in HS that lets you work with kids).

Well all, I am going to go to bed now. I am working with Timon and Rafiki at the Outpost at Epcot tomorrow. Goodnight. And Jess, I just want you to know I am praying for you.

Morning all

Quiet here in town, they had the 9/11 Memorial service at 7:15 so I wasn't able to go. They dedicated a new memorial this year, a piece of the Towers engraved with the names of those from town who died. :(

Hope everyone is doing well, I haven't been able to hang out much lately

Hello all.

I"ve just finished catching upon the 40+ pages I missed while I was away this weekend. Goodness. I don't even know what to say, it seems I missed so much!

So I'll just give a lot of (((HUGS))) to all who need them (which seems like just about everyone), and prayers to all who need them, and hope everyone has a wonderful day.

I'm at a loss about what all of this means still......

I've been watching the specials for a couple days. They are hard to watch, but I feel that I must so that I never forget the horror of that day. The tears still flow freely as they did on that day. These are some thoughts that I wrote down shortly after that day.

6:45 AM, the phone rings...

"Must be a wrong number" I think

Answer the phone, it's my husband....

(I gaze over at my young daughter [8.5 months] sleeping next to me and am totally amazed that I am her mom)

Andrew says, "I think you'd better get up and look at the TV honey"

"Why?"

"A plane has just hit the World Trade Center"

I am thinking to myself that it's a small plane and why is it such a big deal? I'm not up on current events and know next to nothing about world events and politics. Because of this, the scope of this event initially misses me.

As I get up and look at the TV, the second plane hits. I know my life witll never be the same again. In horror I watch the dire warnings and see the devastation and then the news of the Pentagon and the 4th hijacked plane come up....

As I cry and hold my daughter I wonder how I will ever be able to explain this to her. I promise to Never Forget.

To this Day (5 years later) I still can't see footage about 9/11, hear songs about the USA or see information about the wars overseas with dry eyes....

Today I know more about Current and World Events, and I kind of wish I didn't.....
