Trip Report Makin' Memories....One More Time! *COMPLETED*

Makin' memories
Makin' memories
Takin' pictures is makin' memories
Catchin' little pieces of time
Makin' them yours and makin' them mine
Great vacations and celebrations we love to hold near and dear
And when we're makin' memories
Happy days can reappear!

@amjt660 it seemed a little presumptuous of me to include Three Peat in the title of this trip report. A more accurate term might be Repeat, considering this is my third TR in three months. I am fearful that my WDWMagic friends may be weary of me.

But for @Big Hair and anyone else who wants to follow along, Welcome! I truly love reliving our great (and not-so-great) vacation memories through writing these reports. As always, your comments and observations are much appreciated!

So c'mon everybody, here we go........

Cast: Tuvalu, Woody and Em
Dates: June 17-25, 2017
Resorts: Port Orleans Riverside and Polynesian Village ('cause let's be honest......you can take the girl out of the Poly, but you can't take the Poly out of the girl!)

(Does this picture make you woozy? It is an appropriate representation of my Pandora experience.)

Stick around to discover what memories we made!

When the show was over we walked to Adventureland to use our Pirates FP.

The attraction was STILL down.

Instead we used the FP here:

I won't tag you this time @Longers. Whoops.
IMG_8694.JPG

Woody sat in front of us and could have taken our picture....but BTMRR selfies are our thing!

At the exit, Woody noticed a couple of janitors cleaning up after an "emotional support" dog. Wouldn't want that job!

We did one more attraction which is better at night.

We walked through the masses to find a spot to watch Happily Ever After. It would be our first in-park viewing and Em wanted to take pictures. We ended up near the Crystal Palace.

I'm a fireworks gal, so the projections don't add much for me. But I was glad to see it once.
Em, still mourning the loss of Wishes, said: "It's growing on me."

(Those who followed my recent live report know how much HEA grows on Em!)
Great pictures @TrolleyFollower91 !!!

We left the Mansion and headed into Fantasyland. Woody noticed the LONG line of guests waiting for the Tangled lantern Photopass picture.

"What's that line for?" Woody asked.
I told him.
"All those people are waiting in line to have their picture taken in front of a BATHROOM??!!" he said incredulously.

Obviously Em and I would not be getting a lantern pic. :hilarious:

Would a couple castle shots do?

It was so late when we got back to the Poly that the carpet was being cleaned!

I am totally showing my Disney green-ness here but I am from Australia so going once every 2-3 years is a huge deal :) When you say club level are you meaning the DVC villas and studios? We are renting points for the first time for our Disney-moon next year and just wanted to ask :)

Club level is not associated with DVC. It is a separate booking category for regular resort rooms.

I think the Poly is a splendid resort for a honeymoon, congrats! :inlove:

I feel like there needs to be a dislike button now for all the BTMRR pics :(

Hot, sunny and humid ~ the perfect @Doc Disney day! :joyfull:

I made sure to be in the lounge at opening in case there were chocolate chip muffins ~ score!! I scooped up a few along with some other breakfast items to bring to our room.

What park was on our itinerary this morning?

IMG_4537.JPG

We walked over to the TTC. I wish there were a separate security line for people walking over from the Poly (like there is on the path from Contemporary to MK). It is a bummer to have to walk over to the tram drop off and stand in line with the masses....only to have to go through security AGAIN upon arrival at Epcot.

Em had to stand during our monorail ride. The people seated behind her did not get off at Epcot. Not sure where they wanted to go ~ I imagine they may have been surprised to arrive back at their starting point!

We entered the park shortly after 9 am.

There was no line for Spaceship Earth so on we went!

Em calls the middle guy "Garlic Bulb Man."
IMG_4540.JPG

As we rounded the corner past the telephone operators, we noticed a bright light.

Our magic was ruined!
Poor show, Disney!
IMG_4541.JPG

Good thing the interactive ending was working properly.

This was our first time as scuba divers. :p

Wanna guess where we went next?

Hint:
IMG_8704.JPG

Anyone?

Shirley and company went to meet the Big Cheese. :D

IMG_8865.JPG

IMG_8866.JPG

Two other members of the Fab Five were there also. Goofy is Woody's favorite character so we let him go by himself.
IMG_8868.JPG

Ready for another playful Woody pic?

Gettin' Goofy with Goofy!!
IMG_8869.JPG

Goofy then motioned for Em and I to join them. You don't say no to a 8 foot tall dog.
IMG_8871.JPG

Lastly we said hello to Minnie. She was excited to see my shirt!
IMG_8872.JPG

And she got even more excited when she saw my Minnie MagicBand.

Jelly, @MinnieM123? ;) :p

I use a Nikon D5100 body and I believe these were taken with my Tamron 17-50/2.8.

Aren't you glad you asked? :D #cameranerd
Thanks - I'm only good at the point and shoots despite attending a camera course for beginners once I just couldn't grasp it - but want to try... maybe it will make sense one day.

I guess I was hoping it would be a point and shoot #wishfulthinking with pictures like that.

Our next attraction needs no explanation. ;)

And neither does the one that followed.

When we exited the pavilion, we went straight through the breezeway to the center of Future World. The giant fountains began to dance and we stopped to watch......not knowing that a big breeze was imminent and would blow the water in our direction! :in pain: Oh well, I told you it was a hot day!
