Trip Report Makin' Memories....One More Time! *COMPLETED*

Makin' memories
Makin' memories
Takin' pictures is makin' memories
Catchin' little pieces of time
Makin' them yours and makin' them mine
Great vacations and celebrations we love to hold near and dear
And when we're makin' memories
Happy days can reappear!

@amjt660 it seemed a little presumptuous of me to include Three Peat in the title of this trip report. A more accurate term might be Repeat, considering this is my third TR in three months. I am fearful that my WDWMagic friends may be weary of me.

But for @Big Hair and anyone else who wants to follow along, Welcome! I truly love reliving our great (and not-so-great) vacation memories through writing these reports. As always, your comments and observations are much appreciated!

So c'mon everybody, here we go........

Cast: Tuvalu, Woody and Em
Dates: June 17-25, 2017
Resorts: Port Orleans Riverside and Polynesian Village ('cause let's be honest......you can take the girl out of the Poly, but you can't take the Poly out of the girl!)

(Does this picture make you woozy? It is an appropriate representation of my Pandora experience.)

Stick around to discover what memories we made!

But, it's the Tangled bathroom, Woody!
Like you @LadyBelle, I am a Disney restroom aficionado.

It is likely I have visited most, if not all, women's restrooms in the parks. Something about the bathrooms at Epcot caught my eye today. I was in five different ones. I believe what I am about to share is unique to Epcot and I wonder if any of you have noticed.

Flowers!!!

Continuing our clockwise walk around World Showcase we came upon the Bead Outpost. I complained in one of my TRs earlier this year that the Bead Outpost was no longer selling bead necklaces, bracelets and earrings that were made by African women from recycled park maps. Instead the hut sold Epcot merchandise.

I was happy to see there's been a change.

(I still miss the original beads though.)

Woody, Em and I were melting into the pavement as we trudged onward to our lunch destination. We knew our reward would be worth it and that our perseverance would pay off.

Filming of something near Italy.

I never have seen flowers in the men's restrooms. What's up with that?

Wanna guess where we went next?

Hint:

Anyone?

Shirley and company went to meet the Big Cheese. :D

Two other members of the Fab Five were there also. Goofy is Woody's favorite character so we let him go by himself.

Ready for another playful Woody pic?

Gettin' Goofy with Goofy!!

Goofy then motioned for Em and I to join them. You don't say no to a 8 foot tall dog.

Lastly we said hello to Minnie. She was excited to see my shirt!

And she got even more excited when she saw my Minnie MagicBand.

Jelly, @MinnieM123? ;) :p

I think there needs to be some snow in the picture for @MinnieM123 to be truly jealous. :p It is a very cute shirt, though!

I thought you've been avoiding me. :joyfull:

As. If.

I clicked on "new posts" and there it was. 27 pages. 27 freaking pages! I got through it all, mostly last night and just now. I avoided quoting posts because that post would have taken up 2 more pages. I decided not to take notes because I would remember my comments about everything and present them in condensed form.

:joyfull:

I barely remember if I let the dog out this morning. :banghead:

What I do remember is that fabulous pic, but now I forget what you called the wall. Not the purple wall, not the mosaic/tile wall...was it the cotton candy wall? OMG, your two shirts matched every color on the wall. Perfect, loved it.

I had to quickly scroll past your Pandora pics because I'm one of those who doesn't like previews (even on TV, when they say "coming up..." I fast forward because you know they're going to play the same 10 second clip over again after the commercials which aggravates the @#$! out of me.) But I read your descriptions and have adjusted my expectations accordingly. We did see the movie in the theater just because it was in the theater forever and very late in it's run, we went. We thought it was pretty to look at, but "meh." Not so compelling or memorable. To prep for WDW, we recently watched it on TV - and that turned into a 3 day event, because I could only take about an hour of it at a time before falling asleep. I don't hate it, just "meh." And I won't remember the significance of every floating jellyfish-looking "blob" but I'll at least recognize it. We have our FP's for both rides coming up in a few weeks!

Belated happy anniversary! (And father's day to Woody - Woody was a hoot on this trip! I suspect he'd make a good actor with those facial expressions.) Em takes the. best. pics.

@Longers - if you can make me one authentic Shepherd's pie, the guest bedroom is yours. (Please don't anyone tell her Fort Lauderdale, Florida is still at least a 3 hour drive from Orlando...)

I'm sure I'm forgetting stuff. Enjoyable read as always, even-handed with your praise and constructive critique.

Now, we'll be there 8/31 and 9/4-9/9. Can we expect you just some or all of those days? ;)

Well happy with that offer if all it takes is a Shepherd's pie, I'll make you a toad in the hole too and 3 hours is still way closer than 4341 plus miles that I am away from Orlando right now...
And looking forward to updates from your upcoming trips - I'm sure they'll be a blast again! :)

Your comments made my day.

The bubble gum wall is on the side of SSE.

Having to watch Avatar over three days because you kept falling asleep made me LOL.

Sadly, I'll be in the world none of those days. :( But I look forward to hearing all about the anniversary vacay and spending your birthday in the world (which park? I'm thinking Epcot. Or have you already said which park somewhere in your report? You think 27 pages is bad? Yours, sir, is now at 41!! :D)

Bubble gum wall! I knew it! Who said cotton candy?

For the bday, we'll either do all four parks in one day, marathon style, or four bars in one day, as per usual. ;) But seriously, folks, I guess I'm going to do a little research about bday-ing at WDW and take it from there. Pretty sure Flying Fish for dinner, but still have to check if our bartender will be there that night first.

I think it has to be MK for most of the day. (Sorry, not hijacking...moving along...:bookworm:)

Friday, con't

I know I have @lostpro9het's approval for our lunch destination. I am curious if the food is too exotic for @Doc Disney, as I don't recall if she has eaten at the.....

Tangierine Cafe

This is my favorite counter service restaurant in Epcot....a fairly recent discovery since I am a picky eater and had decided I don't like hummus, couscous, tabouleh and lentils before I had actually tasted them! But glowing reviews (read: peer pressure) gave me courage to try Tangierine and prove what a fool I'd been.

It was too warm for dining al fresco and I was so glad Woody found a table indoors.

Em chose the chicken wrap and fries (which currently doesn't appear on the menu :bored:).

Woody and I had the shawarma chicken platter. We each got our own ~ no way was I sharing today!
