You should run away. Character meals are better than meet and greets. I hate waiting in line to meet characters. I love it when they come looking for you.

I know this probably doesn't happen much anymore, but in October of 1992, my family and my in-laws went to WDW together. One morning it was pouring, but we went to the park bright and early anyway. At the time, my nieces were 5 and 4 and my son was about 3 & a half. We walked up Main Street and through the castle and as we turned left, there standing alone was Mickey Mouse. The kids jaws dropped. It was fantastic moment.

I think I agree with alot of you. Disney has not been on the same game plan it was 15 years ago. I would love to see more attractions come back and less shops and m&g.

I dont know what what ever reason but Disney has (in my opinion) not coem out with a real classic ride for quite some time. such rides like Splash, space, and thunder mtns. The new rides they come out with are good but I dont consider them as the same caliber.

There is such great potential everywhere we look. MK can have some great rides and use space alot better. I would mark the decline of MK starting with replacing Alien Encounter......

You don't think there's great potential in the new Little Mermaid ride and the new Snow White ride? They both look like great classic attractions to me.

I am excited about FL expansion and I do love meet and greet, how else would you get to meet all these amazing fairytale people you dream about ( for my 5 year old :lookaroun ) I will miss Snow Whites Scary Adventure, not the most intriguing ride on property but a oldie but goodie (imo)

We never wait in line for the M&G because we get the character pictures at character meals. In fact, once there was a vantage point where my kids could stand in a certain spot little distance from the M&G the picture turned out great... and then we hurried off to our next attraction!

It's interesting to see the reaction on these boards based on different family circumstances. People with no kids want WDW to be a certain way, people with kids want it another way. Let's agree to disagree :animwink:

what is there to even argue about here? If you like the meet and greets that's great. Stand in line and enjoy. If you don't, then move on. The idea of the MK is to have something for EVERYONE! EVERYONE isn't going to like the same thing. That's why there are so many different forms of entertainment at Disney.

Look at it this way, those who don't like the meet and greets be thankful those people are standing in line there instead of your favorite ride. And vis versa.

There are not any arguements on this site about people not likeing ToT or RnRC because they don't like heights or inversions. So why is it that people get upset over someone who wants to meet a character? If they were not welcomed by the paying public the plug would have been pulled long time ago.

I don't know about mad, but I'm disappointed that Snow White is turning into a meet and greet. I'd have preferred it if they'd simply re-themed that ride.

Because for the space proposed to be used for the M&G and the type on offer, an area in the FLE could easily have been found for a new M&G experience identical to what will go into SW. The space housing the attraction could and should be repurposed into another attraction. Pinocchios Daring Journey for example.

AGREED. People here will argue about anything, its frustrating i know.:king:


The Meet and greets are there for a reason, they didn't put more of them in just to p*ss you all off. :D

why don't we just wait to see how everything turns out before bashing concepts? Then again no matter how great it could be there will ALWAYS be someone who doesn't like it. :wave:
