Something interesting happened with the 12Z Euro run. Dorian hugs the coast but never makes landfall. The European has been consistent for the past several runs with a solution which is trending east off the coast. If this scenario hold it would spare Florida a significant impact.

Other models runs have also shifted east as well, not as far as the European, but trending in that direction. Right now the west most track is the official NHC track. Models are coming together in agreement and confidence is increasing.

Wow, looks like the people making the TABS model have already started hittin' the sauce.

LOL... sorry
Absolutely no need to apologize for pointing out resources such as stores that can help people, tourist or not.

Some of the locals telling you not to point out that Publix to tourists are very likely to be tourists themselves next week as they escape this storm. I hope the locals in the towns / states they seek refuge in are helpful like you in steering them to places they'll need such as this.

I was supposed to fly out tonight and arrive tomorrow morning. Due to the hurricane, I'll need to reschedule my resort and park tickets with Disney. I used the chat feature on their website this morning and the agent instructed me to call, but I've been unable to because I keep getting the "all circuits are busy. Please try again later." Now the chat feature isn't available to use. Anyone have any tips to get in contact with them? The website wouldn't allow me to modify my reservation and instructs me to call as well.

Tens of thousands of other guests are probably all doing the same thing. You'll eventually get through. :)

Just keep trying...you'll get through eventually. I find that speaker-phone comes in handy so I can just hang up and redial without having the phone to my ear.

I am sure you guys are being driven crazy by these questions but is the recommendation still for people to cancel their trips? I am from Australia so we are not familiar with hurricanes (spiders yes hurricanes no) and due to fly in tomorrow staying at the four seasons wdw for a week. We are obviously very seriously considering cancelling both for our safety and not to be an extra burden in a crisis. The latest on the NY Times tracker seems to show it as a 1 as it moves up into the Orlando area but I imagine much can change between now and Tuesday...any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I'll make some calls to the people that control the weather.

The Euro Model is not infallible, it certainly screwed up with Irma, but it does have a good track record. With a storm setup like this, 50 miles one way or the other could make an enormous difference between catastrophe and a rainy day.

I thought it was the Euro model that predicted the correct track for Irma and it was the GFS that had it too far East.

I just filled up at a station about 2 miles east of World Drive on 192 and they indicated they were out of all but the most premium grade.

How does diesel look? Not sure if Diesel runs out just as easy as gas. We're still planning on heading down tomorrow. I ran the idea of possible fuel cans to take w/ us to my step dad. My mother is in a camper in Clermont so we have no plans to cancel so we can get down to support her or move her if needed. If anything our condo should be better than a metal box....

I wonder what DCL is going to do. They made a bunch of changes pretty early (trying to help people out), but it looks like this might cause more chaos. They changed the Dream 4 night cruise to 5 nights, stopping in Castaway Cay Tuesday and coming back on Wednesday, with a 2 night cruise going Wednesday. Was a good plan 2-3 days ago. But looking at the forcasts, it looks like there is a real possibility Wed. morning is when Port Canaveral is getting the worst of it.
