Main Street U.S.A. hub redevelopment at the Magic Kingdom

Do we know when the new paths will be open for guests to walk on?

Also, I find it a little weird that they installed the lamp posts before even pouring the concrete for the pathways. In my experience, the lamp posts are usually among the last things put in. Aside from of course, things like landscaping.

The new hub looks huge. Enough for those Ipad tablet users. :)

The area in front of the castle is wicked hard to through during fireworks or the start of a parade or a show so would they have a little area for people trespassing?

I'm curious how they're keeping the water from coming through the duct to the side they're still working on.

I recall from earlier pictures, the duct is fairly high up on the bridge wall....and I'm just guessing here, but the water level in these new pictures appears lower than I expect it to be when this phase is complete.

It would be nice if Disney would consider putting the ipad-as-the-camera users into a small corral off of to the side of hub so they can block each other's view of the fireworks and shows with their large screens.

Btw, I'll add that I do see water coming through on the other side in one of the pictures, it's just not a lot, since that duct is so high.

The pipes are actually pretty low...

Any word on if the color on those posts will remain brown, or is it possible they may eventually look the same as the forest-green ones that are everywhere else on MSUSA. ??
The brown/bronze light poles are the new color scheme for the light poles in the hub. Also the new light brown pavement (which can be seen near Crystal Palace, Adventureland and patches around the hub) will also be apart of a new color scheme for the hub.

The Hub is starting to come together! Nice to see some green added, too. It's be interesting to see the effect on crowds when it's finished. Hopefully the congestion will let up a bit.
Wish that was so. But the crowds will only increase to fill the available space. When the Fantasyland expansion opened the official maximum capacity for the park was increased by several thousand folks. I will expect the same math calculation will apply with the Hub. More concrete? Let more people in to stand on it. Sad but very predictable and inevitable.
