So. Can we assume, as was sorta touched on earlier, that the interior will look like that all year long? Or will we see changes for major holidays? I can just see them selling hot-cross bun ornaments at Easter. I shudder to think about the rest of the world's major holidays (almost all based on religion or nationalism). Can't wait to see who gets offended first . . .

Some nice photos:

This answers that:

Yes. The displays will change throughout the year, as will the merch. Although the custom ornaments will be year round.

I never would have known about the lesbians if nobody brought it up, mostly because I watched the video on mute and skipped around. The store looks good, love the Christmas decorations, don't care for the lesbians. That's my review. Christmas at Disneyland is definitely the best time of the year. I'm perfectly happy with a year round Christmas shop. Although, they should throw in some Nativity scenes, so long as they're not sacrilege like having baby Yoda in the manger.

Christmas at Disneyland is wonderful. I always tell people that should wait until they put the garlands up on Main Street. That really ties everything together. I want to say some years they don’t put it up until the first week of December.

Same. I only caught a glimpse of the merchandise in the video that was posted, but I saw nothing that I liked. I’d have to go in person, but I doubt my feelings would change.

I mean, often the decor is more interesting then the merch in most stores... which is why I usually don't souvenir shop. I hate tacky souvenir stuff.

The only souvenir apart from two shirts, that I have is this:

But I know the niche market for more unique merch that looks like that decor is smaller, and likely would cost more to produce and buy...

Anyone else more interested in the decor than the actual merchandise?

I used to feel this way about the Nightmare before Christmas shop for many, many years. I'd of much rather purchased some of the Halloween-Christmas hybrid shelf presents, hanging figurines, jack-o-lanterns or other sculpted items for decorative purposes around the house than a fedora with Jack's face patched onto it. Or a cheap rubber pen.

Can anyone help confirm if this has still been the the case in recent years? My wife and I were planning on a trip for the Christmas season this year (since they've scaled back their Halloween so much) and she was thinking of Nov.12th (when it begins). If everything isn't up by then, we may look into pushing the date.

I too have stopped going into the shops to actually shop and buy souvenirs. When I shop for Disney merchandise nowadays, I’ll go on Etsy or EBay for hand-me-downs that I actually like.

You ll definitely want to push it back. I don’t think the garlands have ever been up that early. Usually it take until at least about the week of Thanksgiving and I’m pretty sure hay in 2018 or 2019 they weren’t in full swing until the first week of December. Now, there may have been a reason for that possibly related to parades which wouldn’t be something you have to worry about now.

I just searched my post history and on 11/16/2016 I said that “garland wires were spotted on Main Street.” Meaning the wires only and not the garlands themselves.

Did this store get a full refurbishment or did they just swap out decorations ?
Somewhere in between, I think - a lot of the space in the former Photo Supply shop was the counters with PhotoPass kiosks that were taken away. I doubt they made any structural changes to the shop, but they retrofitted some emporium shelving into the old back wall and perhaps redid the flooring.
