It’s a mess, isn’t it?

Bring the Pinocchio segment back as well, while we’re at it. I agree that the current Fantasmic! should be replaced with the previous version. I don’t hate it, but I don’t necessarily like it either.

This is anecdotal, but I went to Disneyland probably 100 times in 2019 and from what I saw, the viewing for Fantasmic was never full.

Compared to the original show which was basically always packed.

Yeah, I'm with you. The current Fantasmic! was mostly a lateral move from the original. Some things were subjectively better or worse, but it has still been something of a miracle manifesting on that bit of the Rivers of America.

Edited to correct autocorrect.

The new version of the show is a complete utter mess. I had seen the original so many times I could hum it in my head perfectly in time. What they did the music in the new version is downright terrible. It's clumsily edited/assembled to say the least. Most of the impact and emotion of the original show is now lost.

Okay, maybe I dislike the current Fantasmic! more than I thought.

I haven’t been to the parks in over two years, and don’t plan to return any time soon. However, if they brought back the previous version of Fantasmic!, I’d buy a ticket for the opportunity to see it.

But you will stake out a place to watch the show every time you are in the park.

Not sure where you pulled that from but nope. I've seen the new show twice. Once when it came out... And then again about 2 months later to give it a second chance. Haven't watched it since.

Back when it was the original version though, I got quite good at knowing where you could walk up as the show began to watch it and did so practically every night I was in Dland. Only did the sitting thing a few times long long ago back before the 50th.

This!

Pan Fantasmic! was theme park poetry. The Pirates segment is unmemorable mush
It was so good with the dancing timed to the music too. Very Disney and dreamlike.

And I have zero bias/nostalgia for the original version as I saw it as an adult, the year before it closed. It was always that show crazy people camped out for for 12 hours, so my family never bothered to see it on our annual visits.

But wow was that a great show, new one with the different vocals and Pirate segment was so much worse.

All they need to do is use the new lighting/pyro/fountains with the old show audio and Peter Pan segment.

Not feeling the merchandise at all.

You just know the fabric for that dress is terrible (like all of their dresses -- especially the "dress shop" ones).

I don't know what's motivated the all-over prints lately but they're always so tacky and ugly.

To save time, all the new merchandise will be sent straight to Disney's Character Warehouse in Orlando.

WOW  Sooooooo Many Negative Waves. Hey! There are some design school grads out there that busted their butts designing that merch. Got to admit though that it is not exactly inspiring.

The dress looks cool, but that doesn't help me so much.
