He is right though. I work in this space and while Android represents ~45% of the marketshare, the spending behaviors of the two groups are ridiculously lopsided.

My company has an app, and we do offer it for both iOS and Android. Similar numbers, android is about 44% for us. (Canada). Android is much larger in other countries, but out here in Canada/US Apple is king.

Actually yes, and it is exactly like the old GPay.
These look and feel the same to you?

It is a real Android phone you can buy on Amazon for $39. And there are a lot of them under $100. Just pointing out these are the devices that pad the numbers for the Android user base, but they are not the devices that are important to Disney.
Which means Disney is ignoring us - even those with fancier phones. Or it could be one is easier to program for than another. Or a little of both. But I guarantee you ease is important to Disney because honestly their IT is hosed. They cannot even figure out how to get priority right on NFC in android, but that's a whole other ball game.

Again there were two GPays. One that is now wallet and the other that you are showing on the right. I'm on a computer working on a very mindless but tedius job so I cannot screen capture what I'd like to show you. But for those of us who ran the old old GPay it's exactly the same as wallet, but just a different name. I never actually used the new GPay tbh. I mean I had it on my phone but it was stupid.

So to show you, I think the old GPay was called Google Pay IIRC but here is a picture of my phone running the old next to my spouse that has wallet installed. I installed wallet to my tablet but hadn't updated my phone (wanted to test something is all)

Edit, changing rotation and to say spouse and I run the same phone (though I opted for more memory) on the same network.

You and me both.. Im clinging onto my xiomi GPS watch for dear life until that launches. That round face is beautiful.
I moved to the Samsung when they used WearOS vs Tizen. I was floating around fossil and LG prior to that.

Likely having too many loved ones in STEM fields I see no difference. Keep in mind we have to use both in my house so our house obviously could screw this up too ;)

I had a magic band order still open in my account (for my annual pass), so I ordered a 50th anniversary one at the reduced rate. I am just going to put it up.
Not sure what you mean by put it up. If you mean put up for sale, then that band would be tied to you and no one else could use it.

No it doesn't. Nor does this site. Or the FB group I run. It's 50/50 in the US on the split. I honestly get tired of Apple owners thinking Android users are lesser and should be ignored.

Erm, you're a bit judgmental sounding here. My 14yo has a FE version of Samsung and he goes in the park and uses it. Cost of phone means little really. Seriously in the US the division is 50/50. I also do not think this site nor the FB group I run is indicative of users. Though on my FB group it is closer to half and half.

Us Android users...we the scum of the earth I tell ya! 😜

I had an iPhone and Galaxy S21 Ultra when I went to Disneyland Paris a couple weeks ago. I switched between phones during the day to keep my main phone (S21) with a healthy battery since I needed it to go back to the hotel (data, train ticket, etc.).

Surprisingly, their Android version of the DLP app was more stable/optmized for me. The iOS version kept lagging/crashing when trying to view the map and wait times. Did all my purchases through the Android version because Samsung Pay automatically would autofill my CC information.

Yes the DLP app is horrible on iOS - makes MDX look very good lol. I didn't get to try it on Android.
