All the outdoor fire effects were turned off due to the energy crisis caused by the war in Ukraine, I think the only one left is ironically Cars Road Trip as it is a show scene.

I’m not sure if this was a DLP choice or a French law as many energy saving regulations came into effect such as air conditioned buildings must have the doors closed and no outdoor space heating (except for employees).

The arcades had been very dark without the gas lamps so I do wonder if this has been introduced as a long term alternative to the gas lamps.

I believe it was a DLP choice. Framed as an environmental choice. The cynic in me says a money saving choice. Probably a combination of the two in reality.

They did turn the Main Street Arcade gas lamps on at night, has that stopped now?

I miss the Adventureland entrance torches too. Frontierland ones too but they rarely worked.

I last saw the Adventureland entrance torches burning in June 2022. Same for the POTC tower (that was a surprise!)

There are more burning torches around the keel boat area that are visible from the Molly Brown. Shockingly they did work for a period of time after the major BTM refurbishment in 2016.

Another Sports bar. Some would say it didn’t need money spending on it.

The inside part will also encompass what was the sandwich bar.

If you're staying at Newport, that means you have to walk along the Sequoia side of Lake Disney to get to security, right?

And then you can walk along the other side to get back to the hotel?

Is there any hope of the original coming back? The track itself is fun, the best Space Mountain I've ridden (though I've only ridden MK's and DLP's), but I thought the Star Wars theme was a bore and unfitting to the facade. They just did a bunch of merch for the OG attraction, and Wikipedia says it's been reopened at "De la Terre a la Lune - 30th Anniversary of Space Mountain" but from what I can tell it's still Star Wars?

Wiki is (unsurprisingly) wrong. There are rumours of a retheme of some sort but not yet.
