So Nice to see DLP go in the Wrong Direction!!!!! Didn't Disney Dreams have to Return because Illuminations wasn't cutting it???

Let's hope TDO doesn't pull a fast one and return DE instead of a Night Parade!!! And I liked DE!

MK's HEA and DLP's Dreams Return Dates were announced the same day if you forgot the connection...

DE is returning but exclusively for After-hours event, in which for this year is still running until June 27. Additionally, DLP's Dreams, Epcot Forever, and MK's HEA were returned at the same month last year but in different dates (HEA and EF on April 3 but ended on December 4 for EF, Dreams on April 12 but set to end on May 30).

However, there may be some changes for Disney Illuminations. First, multiple spotlights that utilized for modified Disney Dreams last year will be used for the modified Disney Illuminations. Second, there would be removal of one scene (Beauty and the Beast live-action) and shortening of another part (Frozen; i guess will only feature Let it Go part that remain intact).

Thanks! I know DE Is during DAH which doesn't affect HEA at all thank goodness!

I just don't understand why DLP has to go back to Illuminations when Disney Dreams is the Guests' Favorite....

If I remember correctly, Tony Baxter spoke highly of him which is a good sign. I think he's also Dutch and worked for Efteling before Disney which might give him a European sensibility that helps for the resort.

Yes! Great character, charismatic setting with French influences, and you could even integrate a minature paddlewheel boat in the waterway.

UP remains a baffling choice. A good movie, with the instantly recognizable imagery of that house with balloons, but surely an ill fit here.

Utterly bizarre decision, especially when they only just got the Star working properly again

I could understand taking Dreams! away for something new but yeah almost as weird as DL going to Mix Magic over Wonderous... (and I happen to like Mx Magic, unlike a lot of people!).

Also feel like Illuminations is going feel weirdly unfinished with cutting most of Frozen out, while I think the Frozen segment does go on a little too long the end is pretty spectacular and leads into the finale really well. (Also quite like the BaTB section even if the live action scenes feel a little odd in a castle park )

All indications from people in the know seems to indicate this is a great appointment, hopefully, if nothing he at least brings some cohesion to changes at DLP, rather than the random projects and themes that don't go together!

It's a great appointment, for 2 reasons. The current person in the role wasn't doing a great job, and Michel is talented and has a wide array of experiences (projects for Efteling, Europa Park and Disney)

Tom Fitzgerald's recent title was Walt Disney Imagineering Chief Storytelling Executive and Senior Creative Executive for Disneyland Paris. Do we know if he is still responsible for DLP in some capacity?

It means he will have a creative leadership role for all projects at the resort. He will be to Disneyland Paris what Joe Rohde was to Disney’s Animal Kingdom, the big caveat being that certain properties like Star Wars and Marvel have their own creative leaders who are outside of the park’s creative leadership (for example Fitzgerald didn’t want Marvel to be part of Evolving Epcot).

It's actually kind of weird that right now WDW arguably has the best nighttime entertainment lineup in the world, now if DLR did Original WOC and WJ it might be them but right now WDW has the best, which is weird considering we probably had the worst up until last year.

WDW has some holes to fill, MK Night Parade(looks like that's being worked on, thank goodness!) A good Fireworks Show at DHS' MMRR....Even if has to be all Low Pyro.

A replacement for ROL at AK would be nice.......

Well yeah, we're still not fully where we should be, just that right now I think we have the best put all the resorts. I still don't understand why DLP is bringing back illuminations when the guests at DLP like Dreams better. Is it a situation where the normies like Illuminations more but the hardcore fans like Dreams? I know I think dreams is WAY better.

He said a lot more atttractions ARE BEING BUILT, so he's not teasing something new. This tweet is misleading.

Additionally, it's noteworthy that he seems unaware of the park's new name and mentions "a significant amount of attractions that have been opened up," even though the last three attractions opened were WEB (2022), Ratatouille (2014), and Toy Story Playland (2010). Shouldn't he have someone to guide him on how to make his statements more plausible?

Anyone that Tony Baxter speaks highly of, I'm completely fine with.
Obviously would love to have the Master himself (Baxter) come back in some capacity, but I'll take what I can get.
